I got terminated 15 times before I understood how this game actually works. Scary Shawarma Kiosk looks like a simple food service game until a customer with black hole eyes shows up and you realize you’ve been serving monsters for the past 10 minutes.
The game has over 239 million visits for a reason. It’s genuinely terrifying. You’re working the night shift at “Shawarma 24,” serving customers through a tiny window. Some customers are normal. Some have creatures attached to their backs. Your job is to figure out which is which before the Inspector terminates your employment (and your life).
This Scary Shawarma Kiosk guide covers everything from basic mechanics to late-game survival.
How the Game Works
The core loop is deceptively simple:
- Customer approaches your window
- Check if they’re human or anomaly
- Serve humans, shutter anomalies
- Survive until your shift ends
- Don’t look during the 2 AM inspection
Sounds easy. It’s not. The game throws curveballs constantly. Rules change between shifts. Some anomalies look completely normal. Some “rules” are actually traps.
Your First Shift
When you spawn, you’re inside a small kiosk with a grill, a fridge, and a serving window. Here’s what to do:
Check the rules wall. Every shift has different rules posted. Read them. Memorize them. One forgotten rule means one mistake means closer to termination.
Learn the controls. Open/close shutter, check CCTV, toggle night vision, interact with grill and fridge. Practice before customers arrive.
Prep some meat. Cook 4-6 pieces during the calm period. You won’t have time later when anomalies start appearing rapidly.
Don’t panic. Jump scares happen constantly. The game wants you scared. Stay focused on detection, not fear.
Detection Methods
Three ways to check customers. Use all of them.
Window Observation
Look directly at the customer. Obvious anomalies show visual tells:
- Creatures on their backs
- Black hole eyes (no whites, no pupils)
- Distorted limbs (arms too long, extra joints)
- Glitchy textures (flickering like corrupted video)
- Wide smiles (too many teeth)
- Missing body parts
If you see any of these, close the shutter immediately.
CCTV Cameras
Check the monitors before opening your shutter. Some anomalies only reveal themselves on camera:
- Customer disappears in camera view
- Same person appears in two locations
- Camera feed goes static or shows screaming faces
- Customer looks different on camera vs window
The CCTV is your best friend. I check it for every single customer now.
Night Vision Toggle
This is the one most players miss. Skinwalkers look 100% human through the window and on normal camera. Toggle night vision and their true form appears.
I died to skinwalkers more than any other entity my first week. Now I toggle night vision for every customer. Takes 2 seconds. Saves your run.
The Rules System
Every shift has rules posted on the wall. These change between shifts. Some examples:
- “Smiling customers must receive soda with their order”
- “Never serve the customer with three eyes”
- “If a customer hands you a paper parcel, place it under the table”
- “Close shutters during fog events”
The catch: Some rules are real. Some are traps planted by anomalies. Learning which is which takes experience.
Safe rules to always follow:
- Smiling customer = add soda (this is always real)
- Paper parcel = place under table, never open
- 2 AM inspection = exit through back door, don’t look back
- Fog event = close shutters, wait it out
The 2 AM Inspection
This happens every shift. A driverless car pulls up at 2 AM. Here’s exactly what to do:
- Exit through the back door immediately
- Keep your back to the kiosk
- Don’t look at any monitors
- Don’t look back at the kiosk
- Wait until the inspection ends
If you look? “Unauthorized presence detected.” Instant termination. Game over.
I failed this five times before getting it right. The urge to look is real. Don’t do it.
Special Entities
Some entities have unique rules that override normal “close shutter” logic.
The Faceless Man
No face, smooth skin where features should be. But here’s the thing: you MUST serve him.
Don’t stare at where his face should be. Prep his order fast. Serve and move on. Closing the shutter on him counts as a mistake.
Smiling Customer
Normal human who happens to be smiling. Serve them, but add soda to their order no matter what they ordered.
This isn’t an anomaly. It’s a rule. Forget the soda and it counts as a mistake.
Paper Parcel Customer
After you serve them, they hand you a wrapped paper parcel. Take it. Put it under the table. DO NOT OPEN IT.
Opening it teleports you to a dark dimension. It’s one of the secret endings if you want it, but don’t do it by accident.
The Narrator (Christmas Event)
New seasonal anomaly available until January 8, 2026. The Narrator doesn’t order food or appear as a customer. Instead, it narrates your actions in real-time through text.
Here’s the trap: The Narrator gives “helpful” advice that’s actually wrong. Following its suggestions can get you killed. Ignore everything it says and stick to the core rules.
When Narrator is active, new customers won’t appear until you respond to or ignore its narration. Don’t let it pressure you into bad decisions.
Environmental Hazards
Not just customers. The kiosk itself can kill you.
The Fridge Monster: Something lives in your fridge. It grows more terrifying as you progress. Keep the fridge closed unless you need ingredients. If it opens randomly, close it immediately.
Pulsating Meat: If the meat on your grill starts pulsating, turn off the heat and move to a safe area. Wait until it stops.
Flickering Lights: Something’s coming. Stay alert.
Screen Static: Entity interference. Check all cameras carefully.
Fog Event: Close the window immediately. Wait for it to clear. You might see dead bodies hanging in the air. Don’t serve anyone during fog.
Corruption Shop
After entering the kiosk, you can access the Corruption Shop (icon in top-left). These are power-ups that help you survive.
| Corruption | Cost | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Show Anomaly | 1,000 coins | Reveals which customer is the anomaly |
| Internal Control | 5,000 coins | Clears all mistakes when inspector is almost out |
| Corruption Deal | 3,500 coins | Pass any inspection regardless of mistakes |
| Summon Anomaly | 3,500 coins | Forces difficult events to spawn (for challenge) |
| Dance For Friends | 2,000 coins | Triggers dancing screamer for friends (multiplayer) |
| Scare a Friend | 2,000 coins | Triggers screamer for a friend (multiplayer) |
Best value: Show Anomaly at 1,000 coins. Instantly reveals anomalies, eliminates guesswork. Get this first.
Best safety net: Internal Control at 5,000 coins. Erases all mistakes. Can save runs that would otherwise end.

Common Mistakes
After 50+ shifts, these are the mistakes I see constantly:
Not checking CCTV. Every. Single. Customer. No exceptions. I don’t care if they look normal. Check the camera.
Forgetting night vision. Skinwalkers look human. Toggle night vision. Every time.
Looking during inspection. The 2 AM inspection kills more players than anomalies. Exit through back door. Don’t look.
Ignoring rule changes. Rules change between shifts. Read the wall every time.
Rushing orders. There’s no speed bonus. Take your time. Observe customers for a few seconds before deciding.
Opening the paper parcel. It’s a trap. Put it under the table.
Survival Priority Order
When things get chaotic:
- Check CCTV first (always)
- Toggle night vision (catch skinwalkers)
- Direct observation (obvious tells)
- Watch behavior (twitching, cryptic dialogue)
- Listen to dialogue (nonsense = anomaly)
When in doubt? Close the shutter. Losing a customer is whatever. Getting terminated ends your run.
Late Game Tips (Day 30+)
Things get harder. Multiple anomalies at once. Subtler tells.
Get Show Anomaly corruption. Basically required for late game. Highlights entities automatically.
Prep meat during calm periods. Have 6+ pieces ready so you can focus on detection.
Trust your gut. If something feels off, shutter. Better paranoid than terminated.
Check rules every shift. They change. Some anomalies become “must serve” based on daily rules.
