Plague is basically Left 4 Dead meets Roblox, and I’m here for it. Fast rounds, intense survival, and that panic when you hear zombies closing in from every direction. I’ve put in 50+ rounds and still get my heart racing every match.
The game is simple: survive as a human or infect everyone as a zombie. But there’s real depth in class selection, positioning, and teamwork. This Plague guide covers everything you need to stop dying in the first 30 seconds.

How Plague Works
Each round starts with most players as survivors and a few as zombies. Survivors need to stay alive until the timer runs out. Zombies need to infect everyone.
When a zombie gets you, you become one of them. The round ends when either all survivors are infected or time runs out.
Sounds simple. It’s not. The zombie horde grows fast and survivors need to work together to have any chance.
Survivor Basics
Weapons
Scavenge for weapons around the map. Better weapons spawn in riskier locations.
Tier List (Quick Version):
- S Tier: Flamethrower (AOE damage), Minigun (DPS beast)
- A Tier: AK47, Uzi (balanced and reliable)
- B Tier: Sniper, Crossbow (situational)
- C Tier: Pistol (only if desperate)
The Flamethrower melts groups of zombies. If you find one, you’re set. Minigun has insane DPS but eats ammo fast.
Positioning
Don’t run around alone. Seriously. Solo survivors die first.
Find a defensible position with your team. Corners are good. Open areas are death traps. High ground helps if you can find it.
Watch your back. Zombies come from everywhere.
Building Defenses
You can build barricades and defenses. Use them to funnel zombies into kill zones.
Don’t over-invest in one spot though. Sometimes you need to relocate when the horde gets too big.
Zombie Basics
Infection Strategy
Your job is simple: touch survivors. One hit and they’re infected.
Early Round: Focus on isolated survivors. Pick off stragglers who wandered too far from the group.
Mid Round: Coordinate with other zombies. Attack from multiple angles to overwhelm defenses.
Late Round: You have numbers now. Swarm the remaining survivors. They can’t shoot everyone.
Zombie Classes
Different zombie classes have different abilities. Speed-focused classes are generally best since you need to close distance.
Some classes have special attacks or enhanced damage. Experiment to find what works for your playstyle.
Best Survivor Classes
Classes unlock through spins. Here’s what to aim for:
S Tier
Samurai - The chainsaw one-shots zombies. Best melee class in the game. If you roll this, you’re set for survivor rounds.
Trackstar - Speed is survival. Outrun zombies, reposition quickly, escape bad situations. Incredibly strong.
A Tier
Prototype - Enhanced combat abilities. Good all-rounder with solid damage output.
B Tier
Most other classes fall here. They’re usable but don’t have the game-changing abilities of S/A tier.
Survival Tips
After dying way too many times, here’s what actually works:
Stick with your team. Solo players die first. Always. Find teammates and stay close.
Don’t waste ammo on single zombies. Save your good weapons for when the horde comes. Melee or pistol the stragglers.
Listen for audio cues. Zombies make noise. You can hear them coming if you pay attention.
Know when to run. Sometimes the position is lost. Better to retreat and regroup than die defending a lost cause.
Prioritize high-value weapons. If you see a Flamethrower or Minigun, grab it. These win rounds.
Zombie Tips
Don’t rush alone. Wait for other zombies and attack together. Coordinated attacks overwhelm survivors. The Discord has been sharing clips of 4-zombie coordinated rushes that end rounds in seconds.
Target the weak link. Every team has someone out of position. Find them.
Use your abilities. If your class has a special attack, use it. Don’t save it for later.
Be patient. The round timer is on your side. Survivors need to survive the whole time. You just need to infect them once.
Common Mistakes
Running around alone as survivor. You will die. Stay with the team.
Ignoring weapon spawns. Better weapons = better survival. Loot everything.
Panicking when infected. As a new zombie, you’re now on the winning team. Embrace it.
Not using class abilities. Your class has abilities for a reason. Use them.
Camping one spot too long. Zombies will eventually overwhelm any position. Know when to move.
Map Awareness
Learn the maps. Know where weapons spawn, where defensible positions are, and where zombies tend to come from.
High-traffic areas are dangerous but have better loot. Quiet corners are safer but you might miss good weapons.
The best players know every map inside out. It takes time but it’s worth it.
