Piggy Intercity Locations Guide (2026)

Best Piggy Intercity locations for loot: City, Mall, and Safe Place. These three areas are left from spawn and have the highest item density with manageable infected spawns. Avoid Carnival and Refinery early game. Trash loot, high risk.

Every location in Intercity is based on original Piggy chapters. If you know where items spawn in House, Station, or Mall from the main game, you know where they spawn here. Same spots, open world format.

I mapped out every area during my 40+ hours in the demo. Here's what you need to know.

City

The best early game destination. Left from spawn, then forward.

  • Storage rooms
  • Alley containers

Item Types:

  • Food cans (common)

Tips:

  • Clear the alley first for quick escapes
  • Check every room in both buildings

Mall

Connected to City. Excellent loot density across multiple floors.

Layout: Multi-story shopping center. Based on Chapter 10 from original Piggy.

Loot Spawns:

Item Types:

Tips:

  • The food court has concentrated food spawns
  • Check behind every counter
  • Upper floors are often overlooked by other players
  • Emergency exits provide escape routes

Demo Change: The parking lot is empty. No cars to hide behind or loot from.

Safe Place

Lower risk area near City and Mall. Good for newer players.

Layout: Fortified survivor area. Based on The Safe Place from Book 2.

Loot Spawns:

  • Supply crates
  • Shelving units
  • Storage containers

Item Types:

  • Balanced food/water

Infected Density: Low. Fewer spawns than other areas.

Tips:

  • Good fallback point when low on supplies
  • Less competition from other players
  • Connect to City/Mall for extended runs

Loot Spawns:

  • Dumpsters
  • Back doors

  • Rooftop access points

Item Types:

  • Scavenged supplies
  • Occasional weapons
  • Limited food/water

Infected Density: High. Tight spaces make combat dangerous.

Tips:

  • Bring good weapons before entering
  • Know your escape routes
  • Infected can corner you easily
  • Better for experienced players

Carnival

Avoid early game. Terrible risk/reward ratio.

Layout: Abandoned carnival grounds. Based on Chapter 8 from original Piggy.

Loot Spawns:

  • Game booths
  • Food stands (ironic, little food)
  • Storage tents

  • The loot doesn't justify the risk
  • Other locations are better in every way

Refinery

Same problem as Carnival. Skip it.

Layout: Industrial oil refinery. Based on Chapter 3 of Book 2.

Loot Spawns:

  • Industrial equipment
  • Storage tanks
  • Control rooms

Item Types:

  • Industrial supplies
  • Rare weapons
  • Minimal food/water

Infected Density: High. Dangerous patrol patterns.

Demo Change: Front hill removed. Flatter approach.

Tips:

  • Only visit when fully geared
  • The rare weapon spawns aren't worth dying for
  • Stick to City/Mall for consistent loot
  • Advanced players only

Optimal Looting Routes

Beginner Route (Safe)

  1. Spawn at Survivor Camp
  2. Buy Wrench (free)
  3. Head left to City
  4. Clear City buildings
  5. Move to Mall
  6. Clear Mall floors
  7. Return to camp when low on supplies

Time: 10-15 minutes per run Risk: Low to medium Reward: Consistent supplies and weapons

Intermediate Route (Balanced)

  1. Spawn and gear up
  2. City → Mall → Safe Place
  3. Forest for weapon hunting
  4. School if well-equipped
  5. Return to camp

Time: 20-30 minutes Risk: Medium Reward: Better weapons, more supplies

Advanced Route (High Risk)

  1. Full gear from camp
  2. Speed run City/Mall
  3. School → Station → Alleys
  4. Carnival/Refinery only if desperate
  5. Extended survival run

Time: 30+ minutes Risk: High Reward: Maximum loot potential

Item Spawn Logic

Items spawn in the same locations as original Piggy chapters. This means:

  • Kitchens = Food spawns
  • Bathrooms = Water spawns
  • Storage rooms = Weapon spawns
  • Toolboxes = Melee weapons
  • Random surfaces = Mixed items

If you've played the original Piggy extensively, you already know where to look.

Multiplayer Considerations

Other players affect location strategy:

  • Popular areas get looted fast (City, Mall)
  • Less popular areas may have untouched loot
  • Infected aggro can be shared or exploited
  • PvP may be enabled in some areas

Coordinate with teammates or compete with strangers. Your choice.
