23 maps in Natural Disaster Survival, and they're not created equal. Some maps make survival easy. Others are death traps where even veterans die regularly. After grinding 500+ rounds for the milestone badges, I've ranked every map by how likely you are to survive.
I've died on every single map at least once. Some maps killed me dozens of times before I figured out the safe spots. Rainbow Ride during flash floods? I've watched entire servers drown there. The rankings below come from actual survival rates I tracked over about 200 rounds.
The ranking considers structure durability, available shelter, high ground options, and how many disasters are survivable on each map.
Quick Tier Overview
| Tier | Maps | Survival Rate |
|---|---|---|
| S | Happy Home, Party Palace, Heights School | 80%+ |
| A | Factory Frenzy, Arch Park, Glass Office, Furious Station | 70-80% |
| B | Trailer Park, Surf Central, Modest Headquarters, Prison Panic | 60-70% |

| D | Launch Land, Rainbow Ride, Devastation Station, Safety Second | Below 50% |
S Tier Maps
These maps give you the best odds. Good shelter, reliable high ground, and structures that survive most disasters.
Happy Home
Why S Tier: Small two-story house with a durable roof. The roof survives flash floods and tsunamis. The interior works for blizzards, acid rain, and sandstorms. Open yard for earthquakes. I've survived more rounds on this map than any other.
Best for: Flash Flood, Tsunami, Blizzard, Acid Rain Worst for: Tornado (small map, nowhere to run)
Safe spots:
- Roof for floods and tsunamis
- Inside corners for blizzards
- Yard for earthquakes
Badge: Surviving a flood here earns "House Flood"
Party Palace
Why S Tier: Multiple floors with good structure. The drop tower is fun but dangerous during thunderstorms. Interior rooms work for most shelter-based disasters. Enough space to run from tornadoes.
Best for: Blizzard, Acid Rain, Sandstorm, Flash Flood Worst for: Thunderstorm (drop tower attracts lightning)
Safe spots:
- Ground floor interior for thunderstorms
- Upper floors for floods
- Open areas for earthquakes
Heights School
Why S Tier: Large building with many rooms. Two floors plus roof access. The size gives you options for any disaster. Many enclosed spaces for shelter disasters.
Best for: Blizzard, Acid Rain, Sandstorm, Flash Flood Worst for: Earthquake (large building = lots of falling debris)
Safe spots:
- Ground floor classrooms for thunderstorms
- Roof for floods and tsunamis
- Outside for earthquakes
A Tier Maps
Solid maps with good survival options. Minor weaknesses but manageable.
Factory Frenzy
Why A Tier: Factory interior is a reliable shelter. Port area has high ground. The crane is interactive but dangerous during storms. Good balance of indoor and outdoor options.
Best for: Blizzard, Flash Flood, Acid Rain Worst for: Thunderstorm (crane and towers attract lightning)
Safe spots:
- Factory interior for shelter disasters
- Factory roof for floods
- Port area for earthquakes
Arch Park
Why A Tier: The hotdog stand is legendary for blizzard survival. Open layout works for earthquakes. The arch itself is weak and collapses during tsunamis and floods.
Best for: Blizzard, Earthquake, Fire Worst for: Tsunami, Flash Flood (arch collapses)
Safe spots:
- Hotdog stand for blizzards (fits multiple players)
- Open grass for earthquakes
- Statue area for some cover
Glass Office
Why A Tier: Two tall connected glass buildings. Good for floods and tsunamis. The glass aesthetic doesn't affect durability. Wide layout gives room to maneuver.
Best for: Flash Flood, Tsunami, Blizzard Worst for: Thunderstorm (tall buildings attract lightning)
Safe spots:
- Upper floors for floods
- Ground floor interior for thunderstorms
- Road area for earthquakes
Furious Station
Why A Tier: Gas station roof has multiple brick layers, making it surprisingly durable. Cars are drivable but don't help survival. The fuel trucks are just decoration.
Best for: Thunderstorm (layered roof), Flash Flood Worst for: Earthquake (moderate brick count)
Safe spots:
- Gas station roof for floods (survives about 30 seconds)
- Ground level interior for thunderstorms
- Open road for earthquakes
B Tier Maps
Average maps. Survivable but with notable weaknesses.
Trailer Park
Why B Tier: Trailers provide shelter but aren't durable. The layout is open enough for earthquakes. Limited high ground options make floods dangerous.
Best for: Blizzard, Acid Rain, Earthquake Worst for: Flash Flood, Tsunami (no reliable high ground)
Safe spots:
- Trailer interiors for shelter disasters
- Open areas between trailers for earthquakes
- Tallest trailer for floods (risky)
Surf Central
Why B Tier: Beach-themed map with a surf shop and structures. Decent shelter options. The beach area is dangerous during floods but good for earthquakes.
Best for: Earthquake, Blizzard Worst for: Flash Flood, Tsunami (beach floods fast)
Safe spots:
- Surf shop interior for shelter disasters
- Beach for earthquakes
- Highest structures for floods
Modest Headquarters
Why B Tier: Modern office building design. Good interior shelter. The building is tall, which helps for floods but hurts for thunderstorms.
Best for: Flash Flood, Blizzard, Acid Rain Worst for: Thunderstorm (tall building attracts lightning)
Safe spots:
- Ground floor for thunderstorms
- Upper floors for floods
- Outside for earthquakes
Prison Panic
Why B Tier: Prison layout with cells and yard. Cells provide shelter but feel cramped. The yard is good for earthquakes. Walls block some disasters effectively.
Best for: Blizzard, Sandstorm, Earthquake Worst for: Flash Flood (limited high ground)
Safe spots:
- Cells for shelter disasters
- Yard for earthquakes
- Roof access for floods
C Tier Maps
Below average. Specific disasters are dangerous here.
Fort Indestructible
Why C Tier: The name is a lie. The fort has a tall tower that attracts lightning. Tanks and helicopter are decorative. The tower is the only reliable high ground, but it's a death trap during thunderstorms.
Best for: Flash Flood (tower), Tsunami (tower) Worst for: Thunderstorm (tower attracts every strike)
Safe spots:
- Tower for floods (risky during storms)
- Fort interior for shelter disasters
- Open ground for earthquakes
Badge: Surviving a thunderstorm in the helicopter earns "GET TO THE CHOPPA!" - one of the hardest badges
Sky Tower
Why C Tier: Tall tower dominates the map. Great for floods, terrible for thunderstorms. The height makes it a lightning magnet. Limited ground-level options.
Best for: Flash Flood, Tsunami Worst for: Thunderstorm (constant lightning strikes)
Safe spots:
- Tower top for floods
- Tower base interior for thunderstorms
- Ground level for earthquakes
Coastal Quickstop
Why C Tier: Lighthouse attracts lightning. Docking platforms are exposed. The well is a gimmick (you can jump in but might die). Limited reliable shelter.
Best for: Earthquake (few structures) Worst for: Thunderstorm (lighthouse is a death trap)
Safe spots:
- Docking platform overhangs for acid rain
- Buildings for shelter disasters
- Open areas for earthquakes
- Avoid the lighthouse during storms
Raving Raceway
Why C Tier: Racing track layout. Open design works for earthquakes but lacks shelter. Structures around the track are weak. Limited high ground.
Best for: Earthquake, Fire Worst for: Flash Flood, Blizzard (poor shelter)
Safe spots:
- Track buildings for shelter disasters
- Track center for earthquakes
- Highest structures for floods (unreliable)
D Tier Maps
Avoid these if possible. High death rates even for experienced players.
Launch Land
Why D Tier: The rocket button lets players troll by launching others into space. Two towers provide limited options. The rocket area is chaotic during any disaster. I've been launched mid-flood at least 5 times by trolls.
Best for: Nothing specific Worst for: Everything (trolls + weak structures)
Safe spots:
- Towers for floods (if no trolls)
- Away from the rocket for everything
- Open areas for earthquakes
Warning: Players press the launch button during disasters to kill others. Trust no one near the rocket.
Rainbow Ride
Why D Tier: Weak structures collapse during floods. The rainbow aesthetic doesn't help survival. Flash floods regularly end with zero survivors.
Best for: Earthquake (open areas) Worst for: Flash Flood (structures collapse, everyone dies)
Safe spots:
- Open areas for earthquakes
- Highest structures for floods (they collapse anyway)
- Interior spaces for shelter disasters
Devastation Station
Why D Tier: Train station with a coal hopper and water tower. The water tower and coal hopper shake into the water during floods. Limited reliable shelter.
Best for: Blizzard (train cars provide shelter) Worst for: Flash Flood (structures fall into water)
Safe spots:
- Train cars for shelter disasters
- Platform for earthquakes
- Avoid the water tower during floods
Safety Second
Why D Tier: Another ironic name. Construction site theme with scaffolding and equipment. Scaffolding collapses during earthquakes. Limited enclosed shelter.
Best for: Nothing specific Worst for: Earthquake (scaffolding death trap)
Safe spots:
- Ground level buildings for shelter disasters
- Away from scaffolding for earthquakes
- Highest stable structures for floods
Map Selection Strategy
You can't choose your map, but you can adapt your strategy. I've developed a mental checklist that runs automatically now after hundreds of rounds.
When you spawn, immediately identify:
- Where is the highest ground?
- Where is the best shelter?
- Where are the open areas?
- What structures look weak?
Then check the weather:
- Cloudy? Head toward shelter or high ground
- Sunny? Stay mobile, watch for specific disaster tells
- Foggy? Get inside immediately
The first 5 seconds of a round determine your survival more than anything else. I've survived rounds where I made mistakes later just because I positioned well at the start.
