Just started Infinity Nikki and feeling overwhelmed? Same. The game throws a lot at you in the first few hours: ability outfits, Whimstars, styling battles, Heart of Infinity… it’s a lot. But once you understand the core systems, everything clicks.
I’ve put together this guide after 100+ hours in Miraland. Here’s everything I wish I knew when I started.
What Is Infinity Nikki?
Think Genshin Impact meets dress-up games. You explore an open world, solve puzzles, collect outfits, and participate in styling competitions. The twist? Your outfits aren’t just cosmetic. They grant actual abilities that affect gameplay.
The game launched December 5, 2024 on PC, PS5, iOS, and Android. It’s free-to-play with a gacha system for premium outfits, but you can experience all the content without spending money.
First Things First: Redeem Your Codes
Before anything else, grab your free rewards. There are active codes right now that give you Diamonds, Revelation Crystals, and upgrade materials. Check our Infinity Nikki Codes page for the full list.
Some codes have usage limits or expiration dates, so don’t wait.
Understanding Ability Outfits
This is the core mechanic that makes Infinity Nikki unique. Certain outfits grant Nikki special abilities:
Default Abilities (Always Available)
- Floating - Jump and press jump again to glide. Essential for exploration.
- Purification - Basic attack to defeat enemies and collect Dew of Inspiration.
Unlockable Abilities
- Animal Grooming - Clean animals for crafting materials
- Bug Catching - Catch insects for collections
- Fishing - Catch fish at fishing spots
- Cello Performance - Play music to solve puzzles
- Shrinking - Become tiny to access hidden areas (actually controls Momo)
- Gliding - Faster aerial movement than floating
- Tail Swinging - Swing from hooks to reach distant platforms
You unlock basic ability outfits through the Heart of Infinity skill tree. Premium versions with better stats come from the gacha.
The Heart of Infinity
This is your skill tree. You unlock nodes using:
- Whimstars - Found throughout the world
- Collection Insight - Earned by collecting items
Prioritize unlocking:
- All basic ability outfits (you need these for exploration)
- Stamina upgrades
- Inventory expansions
Don’t stress about optimizing. You’ll eventually unlock everything.
Exploration Tips
Warp Spires
Activate every Warp Spire you find. They:
- Unlock fast travel points
- Give you free Diamonds
- Reveal nearby points of interest
Whimstars
These floating stars are everywhere. Collect them all. You need hundreds for the Heart of Infinity.
Look for them:
- On rooftops and high places
- Inside caves and hidden areas
- Behind waterfalls
- After solving environmental puzzles
Chests
Three types:
- Common - Basic materials
- Rare - Better rewards, sometimes locked behind puzzles
- Precious - Best rewards, usually require specific abilities
Collection Insight
Every item you pick up increases your Collection Insight. At certain thresholds, you unlock:
- Precise Tracking (shows all locations of that item on the map)
- Heart of Infinity nodes
Pick up everything. Flowers, bugs, fish, materials. It all counts.
Styling Battles
These are the “combat” of Infinity Nikki. Instead of fighting, you compete in fashion contests.
How They Work
- You’re given a theme (Elegant, Cool, Cute, etc.)
- Dress Nikki to match the theme
- Your outfit’s stats are compared to the opponent’s
- Higher matching stats win
Tips
- Build outfits for each style category
- Upgrade your clothes to increase stats
- Use the “Auto” button if you’re stuck (it’s surprisingly good)
- Some battles have specific requirements, read carefully
Daily Routine
Once you’ve cleared the main content, here’s what to do daily:
Daily Wishes
Complete 4 daily tasks for rewards including Diamonds. Tasks are simple:
- Log in
- Take photos
- Defeat enemies
- Complete a styling battle
Events
Check the event tab regularly. Limited-time events offer exclusive rewards and are usually the best source of free pulls.
Outfit Compendium
Completing outfits in your compendium gives permanent rewards. Work toward completing sets when you can.
Gacha System Explained
Infinity Nikki uses a standard gacha system with some player-friendly features.
Banner Types
- Distant Sea (Permanent) - Uses Resonite Crystals, standard 5-star pool
- Limited Banners - Uses Revelation Crystals, exclusive outfits
Pity System
- Soft pity starts at 60 pulls
- Hard pity at 90 pulls (guaranteed 5-star)
- 50/50 system on limited banners
- Pity carries over between banners of the same type
Tigal Guidance
This lets you choose which outfit piece you want when you hit pity. Use it to target specific items instead of getting random pieces.
F2P Advice
- Save Revelation Crystals for limited banners you really want
- Don’t pull on every banner
- The permanent banner isn’t going anywhere
- You can clear all content with free outfits
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Skipping dialogue - The story unlocks important features
- Ignoring ability outfits - You need them for exploration
- Spending Diamonds randomly - Save for banners you want
- Not doing dailies - Free Diamonds add up
- Rushing the story - Explore and collect as you go
- Forgetting to upgrade outfits - Stats matter in styling battles

- Activate every Warp Spire you pass
- Collect Whimstars obsessively
