Best Hypershot loadout: Vectorstrike + Punisher + Auto Reload + Regen Splash + Tailwind. This SMG rush build has the highest DPS in the game with mobility to match. I've tested dozens of combinations across 200+ hours. This one wins.
But "best" depends on how you play. A sniper main won't thrive with an SMG build. This guide covers meta loadouts for every playstyle so you can find what works for you.

The Meta Loadouts
1. SMG Rush Build (S-Tier)
Primary: Vectorstrike Secondary: Punisher Abilities: Auto Reload, Regen Splash, Tailwind Passive: Explosive Bullets
Why it works:
Vectorstrike has 760 DPS. Highest in the game. Auto Reload removes the only weakness (magazine size). Tailwind closes distance. Regen Splash keeps you alive and fast.
This build dominates close-to-medium range. You're constantly in people's faces, melting them before they can react.
Playstyle:
- Push aggressively with Tailwind
- Stay within 15 meters
- Use Regen Splash between fights
- Don't peek long sightlines
Best modes: TDM, CTF, FFA, Duels
Cost: Premium (Vectorstrike is expensive)
2. Shotgun Dominator Build (S-Tier)
Primary: AA-12 Secondary: Punisher Abilities: Auto Reload, Regen Splash, Photon Shield Passive: Damage Boost
Why it works:
AA-12 is an automatic shotgun. In tight spaces, nothing survives. Auto Reload means you never stop firing. Photon Shield creates cover when you need to reload anyway.
This build controls objectives. Flag rooms, capture points, corridors. If enemies have to come to you, they die.
Playstyle:
- Hold tight angles
- Don't fight at range
- Use Photon Shield when pushing open areas
- Punisher for medium-range backup
Best modes: CTF, objective modes, tight maps
Cost: Premium (AA-12 is expensive)
3. Sniper Control Build (A-Tier)
Primary: Barrett Secondary: Punisher Abilities: Auto Reload, Updraft, Transcend Passive: Movement Speed
Why it works:
Barrett one-shots to any body part. 300 damage, no headshot required. Updraft gets you to high ground. Transcend saves you when enemies push.
This build requires patience and aim. You're not rushing. You're holding angles and picking off enemies from safety.
Playstyle:
- Find elevated positions
- Take one shot, relocate
- Use Transcend when pushed
- Punisher for close-range emergencies
Best modes: TDM, FFA, large maps
Cost: Premium (Barrett is expensive)
4. Budget AK Build (A-Tier)
Primary: AK Secondary: Enforcer Abilities: Auto Reload, Regen Splash, Tailwind Passive: Damage Boost (if available)
Why it works:
The AK costs almost nothing and still competes. 450 DPS, reliable recoil, works at medium range. This is what you run until you can afford S-tier weapons.
I used this build for my first 50 hours. Still won plenty of games. The abilities carry the loadout.
Playstyle:
- Play medium range
- Don't challenge Vectorstrike users up close
- Don't challenge Barrett users at long range
- Win the mid-range fights
Best modes: All modes
Cost: Cheap/Free
5. LMG Suppression Build (A-Tier)
Primary: Minigun Secondary: Punisher Abilities: Auto Reload, Regen Splash, Photon Shield Passive: Explosive Bullets
Why it works:
Minigun has 750 DPS and a massive magazine. The spin-up time is the weakness. Photon Shield protects you during spin-up. Once firing, you're a walking death machine.
Explosive Bullets passive makes this build insane. Every second of sustained fire, one bullet explodes. With the Minigun's fire rate, that's constant explosions.
Playstyle:
- Pre-spin before engagements
- Hold positions, don't push
- Use Photon Shield during spin-up
- Suppress entire sightlines
Best modes: TDM, defensive objective play
Cost: Premium (Minigun is expensive)
6. Hybrid AR Build (A-Tier)
Primary: Drakonova Secondary: Punisher Abilities: Auto Reload, Regen Splash, Tailwind Passive: Damage Boost
Why it works:
Drakonova is the best assault rifle. Balanced at all ranges. This build doesn't specialize but doesn't have weaknesses either.
You can fight SMG users at medium range. You can challenge snipers with movement. You adapt to whatever the enemy brings.
Playstyle:
- Flexible engagement ranges
- Adapt to enemy loadouts
- Use Tailwind to reposition
- Consistent, not flashy
Best modes: All modes
Cost: Premium (Drakonova is mid-tier price)
Loadout Building Principles
Always Include Auto Reload
I've said it before. Saying it again. Auto Reload is mandatory. The DPS increase from eliminating reload downtime is too significant.
Match Weapon to Abilities
- SMGs → Tailwind (close the gap)
- Shotguns → Photon Shield (create cover)
- Snipers → Updraft + Transcend (positioning + escape)
- ARs → Flexible (any combination works)
Don't Mix Ranges
A sniper + shotgun loadout sounds versatile. In practice, you're mediocre at both ranges. Pick a range and dominate it.
Passives Amplify Weapons
- Explosive Bullets → High fire rate weapons (SMGs, LMGs)
- Damage Boost → Everything
- Movement Speed → Aggressive builds
- Health Regen → Defensive builds
Mode-Specific Adjustments
Team Deathmatch
Run the SMG Rush or Hybrid AR build. Kills matter, so maximize DPS.
Capture the Flag
Shotgun Dominator for defense. SMG Rush for flag running. Tailwind is mandatory for mobility.
Free for All
Sniper Control or SMG Rush. You need to win 1v1s consistently.
Duels (1v1/2v2)
SMG Rush or Hybrid AR. Consistency beats gimmicks in ranked.
Gun Game
Loadouts don't matter. You cycle through weapons anyway.
Upgrade Priority
If you're new with limited coins:
- AK - Your first competitive primary
- Auto Reload - If not already free
- Vectorstrike OR AA-12 - Your first S-tier weapon
- Punisher - Best secondary
- Transcend - Clutch defensive ability
- Drakonova - Versatile AR option
Don't buy C or D tier weapons. Save for the good stuff.
Common Loadout Mistakes
Running Without Auto Reload
You're handicapping yourself. The ability is free. Use it.
Mismatched Ranges
Sniper primary with Tailwind? You're wasting an ability slot. Match abilities to your weapon's effective range.
Too Many Offensive Abilities
Infinity Edge + Inferno Tornado + Volt Orb sounds aggressive. In practice, you die before using them. Defensive abilities keep you alive to deal damage.
Ignoring Secondary Weapons
Your secondary saves you when your primary runs dry. Punisher is worth the investment.
Copying Pro Loadouts Blindly
Pro players have aim you don't. Their loadouts assume mechanical skill. If you're still learning, run more defensive options.
My Personal Loadout
After 200+ hours, I run:
Primary: Vectorstrike Secondary: Punisher Abilities: Auto Reload, Regen Splash, Transcend Passive: Explosive Bullets
I swapped Tailwind for Transcend because I kept dying to trades. Transcend lets me survive situations where I'd otherwise die. The DPS loss from less aggression is worth the survival.
Find what works for your playstyle. These loadouts are starting points, not rules.
