Hunty Zombie Traits Tier List (2026)

Traits are passive buffs tied to your weapon in Hunty Zombie. You roll for them using trait rerolls. A good trait turns a Legendary weapon into a raid-clearing monster. A bad trait makes Divine weapons feel weak.

I burned 300+ trait rerolls chasing Prodigy. Here’s the Hunty Zombie traits tier list so you know what to keep and what to reroll.

Quick Tier List

TierTraits
SProdigy
ABeast, Focus 3, Berserker, Lifesteal
BFocus 2, Crit Boost, Damage Boost, Speed Boost
CFocus 1, Single stat traits, Defensive traits

Prodigy is miles ahead. Everything else is a consolation prize.

S-Tier Traits

Prodigy

The best trait in the game. Not close.

What it does: Buffs ALL your stats at once. Attack, speed, crit, defense, everything.

Why it’s S-tier:

  • Universal stat boost
  • Works with every weapon
  • Works with every build
  • Makes everything else feel weak

Prodigy is also the rarest trait. I spent 200 rerolls before getting it on my Katana. Worth every single one.

The math: A 10% boost to everything beats a 30% boost to one stat in almost every scenario. You’re not just hitting harder, you’re hitting faster, critting more, and surviving longer.

Roll priority: If you get Prodigy on any Legendary+ weapon, stop rolling. Build around that weapon.

A-Tier Traits

Strong traits. Use these while hunting for Prodigy.

Beast

Raw damage amplifier.

What it does: Significant boost to attack damage.

Why it’s A-tier:

  • Big damage increase
  • Simple and effective
  • Works with any weapon
  • Second best general trait

Beast is Prodigy-lite. You’re trading the other stat boosts for a bigger damage number. Still strong, just not as versatile.

Best with: Greatsword, Scythe, any slow hard-hitting weapon

Focus 3

The highest tier Focus trait.

What it does: Boosts ability damage significantly.

Why it’s A-tier:

  • Huge skill damage boost
  • Great for ability-focused weapons
  • Stacks with AP passive
  • Noticeable difference in raids

Focus 3 shines on weapons where abilities do most of the damage. Katana Z ability, Scythe pull, Dagger combos. If you’re spamming abilities, Focus 3 competes with Beast.

Best with: Katana, Dagger, ability-spam builds

Berserker

Damage that scales with missing HP.

What it does: Deal more damage the lower your health.

Why it’s A-tier:

  • Insane damage at low HP
  • Synergizes with Vampire perk
  • Risk/reward gameplay
  • High skill ceiling

Berserker + Vampire is a classic combo. You stay at low HP for the damage boost while Vampire keeps you from dying. Risky but rewarding.

Best with: Vampire perk, experienced players, raid speedruns

Lifesteal

Built-in sustain.

What it does: Heal on hit, similar to Vampire perk.

Why it’s A-tier:

  • Frees up your perk slot
  • Can run Critical perk instead
  • Double sustain with Vampire
  • Good for solo content

Lifesteal trait + Critical perk is an alternative to Beast trait + Vampire perk. Different flavor, similar power level.

Best with: Critical perk, players who want perk flexibility

B-Tier Traits

Decent traits. Keep them on secondary weapons or while farming rerolls.

Focus 2

Mid-tier ability boost.

What it does: Moderate boost to ability damage.

Why it’s B-tier:

  • Worse Focus 3
  • Still noticeable
  • Fine for mid-game
  • Reroll when you can

Focus 2 is a stepping stone. Use it until you get Focus 3 or Prodigy.

Crit Boost

Crit chance and damage.

What it does: Increases critical hit chance and critical damage.

Why it’s B-tier:

  • Good with crit builds
  • Needs crit skill tree to shine
  • Inconsistent without investment
  • Niche but strong in its niche

Crit Boost + Crit skill tree + Critical perk is a full crit build. When it works, you one-shot bosses. When it doesn’t, you’re doing mediocre damage.

Best with: Crit skill tree, Critical perk, Scythe

Damage Boost

Generic damage increase.

What it does: Flat damage boost to all attacks.

Why it’s B-tier:

  • Worse Beast
  • Still helps
  • Easy to understand
  • Reroll target

Damage Boost is Beast’s weaker cousin. Keep it if you have nothing better.

Speed Boost

Attack speed increase.

What it does: Faster attack animations.

Why it’s B-tier:

  • More attacks = more damage
  • More attacks = more Vampire healing
  • Doesn’t boost ability damage
  • Niche use case

Speed Boost is underrated on Dagger. More attacks means more procs of everything. But on slow weapons, it barely matters.

Best with: Dagger, fast weapons, Vampire perk

C-Tier Traits

Reroll these immediately.

Focus 1

Lowest tier Focus.

What it does: Small ability damage boost.

Why it’s C-tier:

  • Barely noticeable
  • Focus 2 and 3 exist
  • Waste of a trait slot
  • Instant reroll

Single Stat Traits

Things like “HP Boost” or “Defense Boost” alone.

Why they’re C-tier:

  • One stat isn’t enough
  • Prodigy boosts everything
  • Defensive stats don’t help you kill
  • Offensive single stats are just worse Beast

Defensive Traits

Pure defense or HP traits.

Why they’re C-tier:

  • Vampire perk handles sustain
  • Killing faster is better defense
  • Doesn’t scale into endgame
  • Dead weight in raids

How Traits Work

Traits are weapon-specific. Each weapon has its own trait. Rerolling changes that weapon’s trait only.

Traits are permanent until rerolled. Once you get Prodigy, it stays until you choose to reroll.

Higher rarity weapons have better trait scaling. Prodigy on Divine hits harder than Prodigy on Legendary.

Reroll Strategy

Don’t waste rerolls on bad weapons. Here’s the process:

  1. Get a Legendary+ S-tier weapon
  2. Check its current trait
  3. If it’s A-tier or above, use it while farming more rerolls
  4. If it’s B-tier or below, reroll immediately
  5. Keep rerolling until Prodigy or you run out

Save rerolls for your main weapon. Don’t spread them across multiple weapons. Focus on one god-roll.

Trait + Weapon Combos

Some traits work better on certain weapons:

WeaponBest Traits
KatanaProdigy, Focus 3, Beast
ScytheProdigy, Beast, Crit Boost
DaggerProdigy, Speed Boost, Berserker
GreatswordProdigy, Beast, Focus 3
ShoesProdigy, Speed Boost, Beast

Prodigy is best on everything. The second-best trait depends on the weapon’s strengths.

How to Get Trait Rerolls

Sources:

  • Hunty Zombie codes (300+ free trait rerolls from current codes)
  • Gameplay rewards
  • Raid drops
  • Payload rewards

Codes are your biggest source. Redeem all of them before you start rolling.

Common Mistakes

Rerolling good traits chasing Prodigy. Beast and Focus 3 are strong. Don’t reroll them unless you have hundreds of rerolls to spare.

Spreading rerolls across weapons. Focus on one main weapon. Get it perfect before touching others.

Ignoring trait synergy. Crit Boost is bad without crit investment. Speed Boost is bad on slow weapons. Match traits to your build.

Keeping C-tier traits. Any reroll is better than Focus 1 or pure defense traits. Always reroll these.

The Prodigy Grind

Real talk: Prodigy is rare. You might spend 500 rerolls and not see it.

Here’s how to stay sane:

  1. Use A-tier traits while grinding
  2. Don’t burn all rerolls at once
  3. Farm more rerolls through Payload
  4. Accept that Beast or Focus 3 builds still clear all content

I cleared every raid with Beast trait before getting Prodigy. It’s not mandatory, just optimal.
