I’ve made millions of C$ in Fisch. Also wasted countless hours farming the wrong spots with the wrong gear. This guide is everything I wish I knew from the start. The difference between efficient farming and wasting time is knowing where to fish, what rod to use, and when to move on.
Here’s the reality: early game money is slow. Accept it. But once you know the system, you can hit 500K+ C$ per hour. Let me show you how.
Money Making by Stage
Your strategy changes as you progress. Here’s what to focus on at each stage.
Early Game (Levels 1-20)
Goal: Get to Roslit Bay ASAP
Best Location: Moosewood → Roslit Bay Best Rod: Flimsy → Plastic → Steady Expected Income: 5,000-15,000 C$/hour
The early game is a grind. No way around it. Your priority is:
- Hit Level 10 to unlock boats
- Buy a boat and sail to Roslit Bay
- Buy the Steady Rod ($5,000)
- Start farming sharks
Early Game Tips:
- Complete Pierre’s quests. Free money and XP.
- Sell EVERYTHING. Don’t hoard fish hoping they’ll be useful.
- Don’t buy cosmetics. Every C$ goes toward rod upgrades.
I spent way too long at Moosewood my first playthrough. The fish there are worth nothing. Get out as soon as you can.
Mid Game (Levels 20-50)
Goal: Get the Mythical Rod
Best Location: Roslit Bay → The Depths Best Rod: Steady → Long → Mythical Expected Income: 30,000-80,000 C$/hour
This is where the game opens up. You have access to better locations and the fish actually pay.
Mid Game Strategy:
- Farm Bull Sharks at Roslit Bay (night time)
- Save for Long Rod ($25,000)
- Unlock The Depths (diving equipment)
- Save for Mythical Rod ($110,000)
| Fish | Location | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Bull Shark | Roslit Bay | ~800 C$ |
| Nurse Shark | Roslit Bay | ~600 C$ |
| Giant Squid | The Depths | ~1,200 C$ |
Mid Game Tips:
- Night fishing at Roslit Bay spawns more sharks
- Use Fish Head bait for predatory fish
- The Mythical Rod is your gateway to endgame. Prioritize it.
Late Game (Levels 50-100)
Goal: Access Forsaken Shores and Mariana’s Veil
Best Location: Forsaken Shores Pond → Mariana’s Veil Best Rod: Mythical → Trident → Rod of the Depths Expected Income: 150,000-300,000 C$/hour
Now we’re talking real money.
Late Game Strategy:
- Sail to Forsaken Shores
- Farm Captain’s Goldfish at the pond
- Build submarine for Mariana’s Veil
- Progress through Mariana’s Veil layers
| Fish | Location | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Captain’s Goldfish | Forsaken Shores Pond | ~5,000 C$ |
| Mossjaw | Forsaken Shores | ~3,500 C$ |
| Abyssal Lurker | Mariana’s Veil | ~6,000 C$ |
Late Game Tips:
- Captain’s Goldfish is consistent money without RNG
- Start the submarine questline at Dr. Glimmerfin
- Enchant your Mythical Rod with Hasty for grinding
Endgame (Level 100+)
Goal: Beat Scylla, farm Veil of the Forsaken
Best Location: Veil of the Forsaken Best Rod: Rod of the Depths, Trident Rod Expected Income: 400,000-700,000 C$/hour
This is peak money making.
Endgame Strategy:
- Complete Mariana’s Veil puzzles
- Beat Scylla boss
- Unlock Veil of the Forsaken
- Farm endlessly
| Fish | Location | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Scylla | Veil of the Forsaken | ~140,000 C$ |
| Elder Mossjaw | Forsaken Shores | ~8,000 C$ |
| Deep Sea Legendaries | Mariana’s Veil | ~5,000-10,000 C$ |
Endgame Tips:
- Scylla sells for 140K but requires boss fight first
- Veil of the Forsaken is the best money farm in the game
- Use Rod of the Depths with Hasty enchant
Best Money Making Locations (Ranked)
1. Veil of the Forsaken (500K+/hour)
The undisputed best. After beating Scylla, this area has the highest value fish in the game.
Requirements:
- Submarine
- Complete Mariana’s Veil puzzles
- Beat Scylla boss
Best Setup:
- Rod of the Depths or Trident Rod
- Hasty enchant
- Truffle Worm bait
2. Forsaken Shores Pond (200K-300K/hour)
My personal favorite for consistent money. Captain’s Goldfish spawns here and it’s way easier than boss fights.
Requirements:
- Boat
- Mythical Rod or better
Best Setup:
- Mythical Rod with Hasty
- Truffle Worm bait
- Fish at the pond, not the ocean
3. Ancient Isle During Megalodon Hunt (Variable)
When the Megalodon Hunt event triggers, drop everything and go. Each Megalodon is worth 15K+.
Requirements:
- Boat
- Four Fragments (to unlock island)
- Good rod
Best Setup:
- Any high-luck rod
- Kraken Tentacle bait
- Watch for “Megalodon sighted” message
4. The Depths (80K-150K/hour)
Solid mid-game option. Giant Squid and deep sea fish pay well.
Requirements:
- Diving equipment
- Long Rod or better
Best Setup:
- Long Rod or Mythical Rod
- Squid bait
- Fish in the deepest areas
5. Roslit Bay Night Fishing (40K-80K/hour)
The best early-mid game spot. Sharks spawn more at night.
Requirements:
- Boat
- Steady Rod or better
Best Setup:
- Steady Rod or Long Rod
- Fish Head bait
- Fish at night for sharks
Best Rods for Money Making
| Rod | Best For | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Rod of the Depths | Endgame farming | 130% Luck, catches everything |
| Trident Rod | Legendary hunting | 150% Luck, Atlantean mutation |
| Mythical Rod | Mid-late game | 70% Luck, affordable |
| Long Rod | Mid game | Good stats, cheap |
| Steady Rod | Early game | First real rod |
The Trident Rod deserves special mention. Its passive gives 30% of fish the Atlantean mutation, which triples their value. A 1,000 C$ fish becomes 3,000 C$. Over time, this adds up massively.
Enchants for Money Making
Hasty is the meta for grinding. More bites per minute equals more fish equals more money.
Lucky is better for legendary hunting. Higher chance of rare fish.
Sea Overlord increases fish size by 25%, which increases sell value. Underrated for money making.
I run two rods:
- Mythical Rod with Hasty (grinding)
- Trident Rod with Lucky (legendary hunting)
Mutations = Free Money
Mutations multiply fish value. Here’s the breakdown:
| Mutation | Value Multiplier |
|---|---|
| Shiny | 1.5x |
| Sparkling | 2x |
| Albino | 2.5x |
| Darkened | 2x |
| Aurora | 3x |
| Atlantean | 3x |
The Trident Rod’s Atlantean passive is insane. 30% of your catches get 3x value automatically.
Use totems that boost mutation chance. The Shiny and Sparkling totems from codes stack with rod passives.
Money Making Mistakes I Made
Staying at Moosewood too long. The fish there are worthless. Leave at Level 10.
Buying rods out of order. I bought the Long Rod before Steady because it was “better.” Wasted money. Follow the progression path.
Not using bait. I fished without bait for hours because I was “saving” it. Bait is cheap. Use it.
Ignoring mutations. I sold mutated fish without realizing they were worth 2-3x more. Check before selling.
Farming the wrong spots. I spent 20 hours at Sunstone Island because it looked cool. The fish there are mid. Location matters.
Not enchanting. A Hasty Mythical Rod outperforms an unenchanted Trident Rod for grinding. Enchants are that important.
Quick Money Tips
Complete Angler quests. Free money for catching fish you’d catch anyway. Visit every island’s Angler.
Sell fish immediately. Don’t hoard. The only fish worth keeping are for quests or bestiary.
Use the right bait. Fish Head for sharks, Truffle Worm for mythicals, Shrimp for grinding.
Fish at night. Many valuable fish only spawn at night. Check spawn conditions.
Watch for events. Megalodon Hunts, Fischmas, and other events have high-value fish.
Redeem codes. Free baits, totems, and sometimes cash. Check our Fisch Codes page.
My Daily Farming Routine
Here’s what I do for consistent money:
- Check for events - Megalodon Hunt? Drop everything.
- Forsaken Shores Pond - 30-60 minutes of Captain’s Goldfish
- Mariana’s Veil - If I have time, run through the layers
- Scylla attempts - If I’m feeling lucky
- Boreal Pines - New content, decent money
I average 500K-700K C$ per hour with this routine. Your mileage varies based on rod and RNG.
Passive Income
Some methods earn money while you’re AFK or doing other things:
Auto-fishing (with Hasty enchant): Cast, wait, repeat. Not true AFK but low effort.
Event participation: Some events give rewards just for being online.
Trading: Buy low, sell high. Requires market knowledge.
