Rebirth in Escape Tsunami For Brainrots resets your progress but gives permanent money multipliers. Rebirth 1 requires 50 Speed and gives 2x earnings. Rebirth as soon as you hit the speed requirement since waiting longer gives no extra benefit.
I've done 12 rebirths so far. The system is generous compared to other Roblox games because you keep your base slots and brainrots. Only your speed and cash reset. The multipliers stack multiplicatively, so by Rebirth 5 you're earning 32x what a new player makes with the same brainrots.
Rebirth Requirements
Each rebirth needs a specific Speed stat. You can't skip levels.
| Rebirth | Speed Required | Money Multiplier | Total Multiplier |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 50 | 2x | 2x |
| 2 | 75 | 2x | 4x |
| 3 | 100 | 2x | 8x |
| 4 | 125 | 2x | 16x |
| 5 | 150 | 2x | 32x |
| 6 | 175 | 2x | 64x |
| 7 | 200 | 2x | 128x |
| 8 | 250 | 2x | 256x |
| 9 | 300 | 2x | 512x |
| 10 | 400 | 2x | 1024x |
The multipliers are multiplicative, not additive. Rebirth 5 isn't 10x (2+2+2+2+2), it's 32x (2×2×2×2×2). This makes early rebirths worth rushing.
How to Rebirth
- Open the menu (tap the three lines or gear icon)
- Find the Rebirth button on the left side of your screen
- Check if your Speed meets the requirement
- Tap Rebirth and confirm
The button shows your current speed and the requirement. If it's grayed out, you need more speed upgrades.
What You Keep After Rebirth
Kept:
- All brainrots in your base
- Base expansion slots
- Brainrot upgrade levels
- Group rewards (free Epic)
Reset:
- Speed stat (back to starting value)
- Cash (back to zero)
- Speed upgrades purchased
Your brainrots keep generating money at the new multiplied rate immediately after rebirth. A base full of Secrets that earned 10M/second before Rebirth 5 now earns 320M/second.
When to Rebirth
Rebirth immediately when you hit the speed requirement. There's no benefit to waiting.
Some players think they should max out their base before rebirthing. Wrong. Your brainrots carry over, so the multiplier applies to everything you already have. Waiting just delays the bonus.
The only exception: if you're 5-10 speed away from the requirement and can afford the upgrade in the next few minutes, finish it first. But don't grind for hours at a lower multiplier when you could rebirth and earn faster.
Speed Upgrade Strategy
Speed upgrades cost cash. After rebirth, you start with zero cash but your brainrots still generate income. Here's the fastest path back to rebirth speed:
Rebirth 1-3:
- Wait 2-3 minutes for brainrots to generate starting cash
- Buy cheapest speed upgrades first
- Don't upgrade brainrots yet, focus on speed
- Reach next rebirth requirement in 15-30 minutes
Rebirth 4-6:
- Your multipliers make cash flow faster
- Buy speed upgrades as soon as you can afford them
- Should hit next requirement in 10-20 minutes
Rebirth 7+:
- Cash comes so fast that speed upgrades are instant
- Main bottleneck becomes the speed requirement itself
- Focus on reaching higher zones for better brainrots
Rebirth Math
Understanding the math helps you make better decisions.
Example: Rebirth 4 vs staying at Rebirth 3
At Rebirth 3 (8x multiplier) with a base earning 1M/second base rate:
- Actual earnings: 8M/second
- Time to reach 125 Speed: ~30 minutes of grinding
At Rebirth 4 (16x multiplier) with the same base:
- Actual earnings: 16M/second
- Time to rebuild speed: ~15 minutes
Rebirthing doubles your income. The rebuild time is shorter than the time you'd spend grinding at the lower multiplier. Always rebirth.
Common Rebirth Mistakes
Waiting to "max out" first. Your brainrots carry over. The multiplier applies to them. Waiting wastes time.
Upgrading brainrots before speed. After rebirth, speed upgrades should be priority. Get back to your previous zone access first, then upgrade brainrots.
Ignoring rebirth entirely. Some players grind to Rebirth 1 requirements and never actually rebirth. They're earning 1x while everyone else earns 32x+.
Rebirthing without brainrots. If your base is empty, rebirth gives you a multiplier on nothing. Fill your base with at least Epics before your first rebirth.
Optimal Progression Path
Hour 1-2 (Pre-Rebirth 1):
- Collect everything, fill base with Commons/Uncommons
- Upgrade speed to 50
- Rebirth immediately
Hour 2-4 (Rebirths 1-3):
- Replace Commons with Rares/Epics
- Rush speed upgrades after each rebirth
- Should complete Rebirth 3 by hour 4
Hour 4-8 (Rebirths 4-6):
- Start hunting Legendaries and Secrets
- Your multipliers make lower rarities worthless
- Rebirth 6 gives 64x, massive income boost
Hour 8+ (Rebirths 7+):
- Hunt Celestials exclusively
- Speed requirements get steep (200+)
- Each rebirth takes longer but doubles income
Rebirth and Zones
Higher rebirths let you access better zones faster after reset.
| Zone | Speed Needed | Best Brainrots |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 10 | Commons |
| Uncommon | 25 | Uncommons |
| Rare | 40 | Rares |
| Epic | 60 | Epics |
| Legendary | 80 | Legendaries |
| Cosmic | 120 | Cosmics |
| Secret | 140 | Secrets |
| Celestial | 300+ | Celestials |
After Rebirth 5, you can reach the Epic zone within minutes of resetting. After Rebirth 8, you're back in Secret zone quickly. The multipliers make rebuilding trivial.
Rebirth During Events
Admin Abuse events don't change rebirth mechanics, but they affect your strategy.
Before an event: Don't rebirth right before Admin Abuse starts. You want maximum speed to farm rare spawns during the event.
During an event: Focus on collecting, not rebirthing. Event brainrots are worth more than the multiplier gain.
After an event: Rebirth if you hit the requirement. Your new event brainrots will benefit from the higher multiplier.
Rebirth Milestones
Certain rebirths feel like major power spikes:
Rebirth 3 (8x): First time lower rarities feel worthless. Start ignoring Commons entirely.
Rebirth 5 (32x): Mid-game breakpoint. Secrets become your main target.
Rebirth 7 (128x): Late-game begins. Celestials are the only brainrots worth hunting.
Rebirth 10 (1024x): Endgame. Your base prints money. Focus shifts to collecting rare Celestials for completion.
