Mutations multiply a brainrot's income by 2x to 5x. Radioactive is the best at 5x, but only comes from event spins. Electric and Diamond (3x each) are more common during Admin Abuse. A Radioactive Celestial at Rebirth 10 earns nearly $10 billion per second.
Mutations are the endgame grind. Once you have a full Celestial base, the next goal is replacing normal Celestials with mutated ones. The income difference is massive.
All Mutations
| Mutation | Multiplier | Appearance | How to Get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Radioactive | 5x | Green glow | Radioactive Event spins |
| Diamond | 3x | Crystal texture | Admin Abuse events |
| Electric | 3x | Lightning sparks | Random spawn, Admin Abuse |
| Golden | 2.5x | Gold color | Random spawn |
| Shiny | 2x | Sparkle effect | Random spawn |
| Normal | 1x | Default | Default |
Radioactive Mutation (5x)
The best mutation in the game. Radioactive brainrots have a green glow and earn 5x their base income.
How to get Radioactive brainrots:
- Wait for Radioactive Event (hourly, lasts 5 minutes)
- Farm Radioactive Coins during the event
- Spend coins on Lucky Block spins
- Hope for a Radioactive brainrot drop
The drop rates are low. I've spent 50+ coins and gotten one Radioactive Celestial. But that one brainrot earns more than five normal Celestials combined.
Radioactive Coin sources:
- Secret tunnel obstacle course (during event)
- Bombardillo bomb explosions
- Lucky Block drops
- Admin Abuse bonus drops
Diamond Mutation (3x)
Diamond brainrots have a crystal/gem texture. They're easier to get than Radioactive but still rare.
How to get Diamond brainrots:
- Join Admin Abuse events (Saturdays)
- Diamond mutations spawn more frequently during events
- Grab any Diamond brainrot you see
- They also drop from Lucky Block spins (rare)
Diamond is the realistic endgame mutation for most players. Radioactive requires luck and grinding. Diamond just requires showing up to events.
Electric Mutation (3x)
Electric brainrots have lightning sparks around them. Same multiplier as Diamond but different appearance.
How to get Electric brainrots:
- Random spawn chance on any brainrot
- Higher chance during Admin Abuse
- Lucky Block spins
Electric mutations can spawn naturally, unlike Radioactive which is event-only. I've found Electric brainrots during normal gameplay, though it's rare.
Golden Mutation (2.5x)
Golden brainrots have a gold/yellow color. Decent multiplier, more common than Diamond/Electric.
How to get Golden brainrots:
- Random spawn chance
- Admin Abuse events
- Lucky Block spins
Golden is a good stepping stone. If you find a Golden Celestial, keep it until you get a Diamond or Radioactive replacement.
Shiny Mutation (2x)
Shiny brainrots have a sparkle effect. The most common mutation.
How to get Shiny brainrots:
- Random spawn chance (highest of all mutations)
- Admin Abuse events
- Lucky Block spins
Shiny is better than nothing but not worth hunting specifically. If you find one, use it. Don't go out of your way for 2x when 3x and 5x exist.
Mutation Math
Mutations stack with rebirth multipliers multiplicatively.
Example: Radioactive Dug Dug Dug at Rebirth 10
- Base income: $1.9M/second
- Radioactive: 5x
- Rebirth 10: 1024x
- Total: $1.9M × 5 × 1024 = $9.7B/second
One Radioactive Celestial earns more than a full base of normal Celestials. That's why mutations matter.
Mutation Priority
Which mutations to keep:
| Brainrot Rarity | Keep These Mutations |
|---|---|
| Celestial | Radioactive, Diamond, Electric |
| Secret | Radioactive, Diamond, Electric, Golden |
| Cosmic and below | Any mutation (you'll replace the brainrot anyway) |
Don't waste base slots on mutated Commons. A normal Celestial beats a Radioactive Common by a huge margin.
Radioactive Event Guide
The Radioactive Event runs hourly for 5 minutes. Here's how to maximize it:
Before the event:
- Have 140+ Speed to reach Secret zone
- Know the secret tunnel location
- Clear your inventory
During the event:
- Sprint to the secret tunnel entrance (near Secret zone)
- Complete the obstacle course for coins
- Grab loose coins from Bombardillo explosions
- Return to base before tsunami
- Repeat until event ends
After the event:
- Spend coins on Lucky Block spins
- Hope for Radioactive drops
- Place any Radioactive brainrots immediately
The secret tunnel is the main coin source. It's a short obby that rewards 3-5 coins per completion. With 5 minutes, you can complete it 3-4 times.
Admin Abuse Mutations
Admin Abuse events (Saturdays) boost mutation spawn rates significantly.
What spawns during Admin Abuse:
- Diamond mutations everywhere
- Electric mutations common
- Rare Celestial spawns
- Bonus Radioactive Coins
Strategy:
- Don't rebirth before Admin Abuse
- Maximize speed to reach deep zones
- Grab every mutated brainrot you see
- Focus on Celestials and Secrets with mutations
- Fill your base during the event
I've gotten more Diamond Celestials in one Admin Abuse hour than in a week of normal play.
Mutation Hunting Tips
Check brainrot appearance before grabbing. Mutated brainrots look different. Learn to spot the glow/sparkle/texture.
Prioritize mutated high-rarity brainrots. A Diamond Secret beats a Radioactive Rare. Rarity matters more than mutation.
Don't sell mutated brainrots. Even if you have a full base, hold mutated brainrots for later. You might want to swap them in.
Farm events aggressively. Mutations are rare during normal play. Events are when you stock up.
Upgrade mutated brainrots first. A Level 5 Diamond Celestial earns 15x a Level 1 normal Celestial (3x mutation × 5x upgrade).
Mutation Stacking
Mutations don't stack with each other. A brainrot can only have one mutation.
What stacks:
- Mutation × Rebirth multiplier
- Mutation × Brainrot upgrade level
- All three together
What doesn't stack:
- Multiple mutations on one brainrot
- Mutations from different sources
Best Mutated Brainrots
The dream lineup for endgame:
| Brainrot | Mutation | Income at Rebirth 10 |
|---|---|---|
| Dug Dug Dug | Radioactive | $9.7B/s |
| Esok Sekolah | Radioactive | $9.2B/s |
| Dug Dug Dug | Diamond | $5.8B/s |
| Esok Sekolah | Diamond | $5.5B/s |
| Secret Farmer | Radioactive | $5.1B/s |
A full base of Radioactive Celestials is the ultimate goal. Most players settle for Diamond Celestials, which is still insane income.
