Best Escape the Tsunami on Bike pets: Legendary pets give +50% or higher speed boosts. For most players, stacking 3-4 Epic pets beats chasing one Legendary. Pets are the real progression system here.
I've tested every pet I could afford after 200+ escapes. The speed differences are massive. A player with three common pets will outpace someone with zero pets every single time.
Quick Tier List
| Tier | Pets | Speed Boost |
|---|---|---|
| S | Legendary Pets | +50-100% |
| A | Epic Pets | +25-40% |
| B | Rare Pets | +15-20% |
| C | Uncommon Pets | +8-12% |
| D | Common Pets | +3-5% |
S-tier pets double your effective speed. D-tier pets still matter because they stack.
S-Tier Pets (Legendary)
Legendary pets are endgame. The win costs are brutal but the speed boosts change how you play.
| Pet | Speed Boost | Win Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Phoenix | +100% | 500 Wins |
| Dragon | +75% | 350 Wins |
| Tsunami Rider | +60% | 250 Wins |
| Golden Bike | +50% | 200 Wins |
Phoenix is the best pet in the game. +100% speed means you're twice as fast. I watched a Phoenix owner cruise through World 5 like it was World 1.
Dragon is the realistic goal for most grinders. 350 wins takes time but +75% speed is worth every run.
Tsunami Rider has ironic naming. The thing chasing you is now helping you escape. +60% for 250 wins is solid value.
Golden Bike is the entry-level Legendary. 200 wins is achievable in a weekend of grinding. +50% speed makes World 3 feel like World 1.
A-Tier Pets (Epic)
Epic pets are where most players should focus. The win costs are reasonable and the boosts stack well.
| Pet | Speed Boost | Win Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Rocket | +40% | 100 Wins |
| Lightning Bolt | +35% | 80 Wins |
| Turbo Cat | +30% | 60 Wins |
| Speed Demon | +25% | 45 Wins |
Rocket at +40% for 100 wins is the best value in the game. Two Rockets (+80% total) cost less than one Dragon (+75%). Math doesn't lie.
Lightning Bolt looks sick and gives +35%. The visual effect makes you feel faster even before the stat boost kicks in.
Turbo Cat is the meme pick that actually performs. +30% for 60 wins. I bought this as a joke and it carried me through World 2.
Speed Demon is your first real pet goal. 45 wins is achievable in your first session. +25% speed makes the early grind way smoother.
B-Tier Pets (Rare)
Rare pets bridge the gap between starter pets and real progression.
| Pet | Speed Boost | Win Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Flame | +20% | 30 Wins |
| Ice Shard | +18% | 25 Wins |
| Wind Spirit | +15% | 20 Wins |
Flame at +20% for 30 wins is your first meaningful upgrade. I ran Flame for 50+ escapes before saving for Epic.
Ice Shard and Wind Spirit are stepping stones. Buy one, use it while saving for Epic, then move on.
C-Tier Pets (Uncommon)
Uncommon pets exist to get you started. Don't skip them.
| Pet | Speed Boost | Win Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Spark | +12% | 12 Wins |
| Breeze | +10% | 8 Wins |
| Pebble | +8% | 5 Wins |
Pebble for 5 wins should be your first purchase. +8% speed on every future run pays for itself immediately.
D-Tier Pets (Common)
Common pets give tiny boosts but they're cheap and they stack.
| Pet | Speed Boost | Win Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Leaf | +5% | 3 Wins |
| Droplet | +4% | 2 Wins |
| Dust | +3% | 1 Win |
Dust costs ONE win. Buy it immediately. +3% is +3% forever.
Pet Stacking Strategy
Pets stack multiplicatively, not additively. This matters.
Example:
- Base speed: 100
- Pet 1: +20% = 120
- Pet 2: +20% = 144 (not 140)
- Pet 3: +20% = 172.8
Three +20% pets give +72.8% total speed, not +60%. Stack early, stack often.
Optimal Buy Order
First 10 wins:
- Dust (+3%, 1 win)
- Droplet (+4%, 2 wins)
- Pebble (+8%, 5 wins)
Wins 10-50: 4. Breeze (+10%, 8 wins) 5. Wind Spirit (+15%, 20 wins)
Wins 50-150: 6. Speed Demon (+25%, 45 wins) 7. Turbo Cat (+30%, 60 wins)
Wins 150+: 8. Rocket (+40%, 100 wins) 9. Save for Legendary
Don't skip cheap pets to save for expensive ones. The early boosts help you earn wins faster, which gets you to Legendary sooner.
Pet Shop Location
The pet shop is in the spawn area near the treadmill. Look for the paw icon or "Pets" text.
Some pets rotate in and out of the shop. If you don't see a specific pet, it might be:
- Event exclusive
- Temporarily unavailable
- Earned through world progression
Event Pets (Race Event January 8-14)
The Race Event runs January 8-14, 2026. Event pets in similar games are usually:
- Limited time only
- Stronger than normal pets at the same rarity
- Flex items for early players
Grind wins NOW so you can afford whatever drops. The event lasts a full week, but exclusive pets might have limited stock or high win costs.
Pets vs World Access
Should you buy pets or access new worlds first?
Buy pets first. A pet that helps you farm World 2 faster is worth more than accessing World 3 and failing it repeatedly.
World 3 gives more wins per completion, but only if you can complete it. Pets make completion easier. Prioritize consistency over ambition.
Common Mistakes
Saving for Legendary too early. You'll burn out grinding 500 wins with no pets. Buy cheap pets, stack boosts, then save.
Ignoring common pets. "It's only +3%" adds up when you have five of them.
Not checking the shop. Pet availability changes. Check daily for new options.
Buying duplicates. You can only equip one of each pet. Don't waste wins on copies.
