I wasted 4,500 Ichor on Astro thinking he was the best Toon. He’s good, but not “spend all your Ichor” good. Should’ve gotten Sprout first.
After 100+ hours and unlocking most Toons, I finally understand what actually matters. Movement speed is king. Extraction speed wins games. Some abilities are busted, others are basically useless.

SS Tier - Meta Defining
These Toons dominate high-level play. If you have them, use them.
Vee

The information queen. Mic Check reveals everything on the floor. You know exactly where to go and what to avoid. Camera Hijack passive highlights the two nearest uncompleted machines automatically.
Slower movement is her only weakness. Worth every bit of the 4,500 Ichor cost.
Pebble

The healer. In a game where health is precious, Sprout keeps the team alive. Overprotective passive lets you see all teammates’ health.
Expensive ability (100 Tapes) but worth it when someone’s at 1 heart.
Gourdy

Not quite meta-defining, but extremely strong. You can main these and do well.

Well Rested passive regenerates his own stamina 50% faster. Solid all-around.
Cosmo

A Tier - Good
Solid picks with specific strengths. Work well in the right situations.
Bassie
Extra inventory slot from Easter Basket passive. Springful Sharing drops items for teammates. Good utility.
Blot
Blot Jr. decoy attracts Twisteds. Costs Tapes but can save runs. Requires good placement.
Cocoa (Event)
Bonbon candy buffs extraction and movement speed. Team support with style.
Connie
Haunting Escape makes her invisible for 5 seconds. Great for escaping bad situations. Lethal Twisteds can still see her though.
Eclipse (Event)
Transforms during blackouts with 20% speed buff. Situational but powerful when blackouts happen.
Flyte (Event)
Gust ability gives 15% movement speed to teammates. Solid team support.
Gigi
Surprise ability gives random items. RNG-based but can be clutch.
Soulvester (Event)
4 hearts instead of 3. Knightly Armor blocks ranged attacks. Tanky.
Teagan
Tea Time self-heals for 75 Tapes. Good for solo play.
B Tier - Average
Functional but outclassed. Use until you unlock better options.
Boxten
Free starter. Wind-Up gives 6% extraction buff per alive teammate (max 48%). Decent in full teams.
Coal
Scout ability highlights items. Useful but not exciting.
Eggson (Event)
Fixer Upper completes 10% of machine on first hit. One-time use per machine limits value.
Finn
Reel In gives 33% speed after completing machines. Good for repositioning.
Tisha
Tidy Up! gives 25% speed buff to nearby Toons. Decent support.
C Tier - Below Average
Niche uses only. Generally outclassed.
Bobette
Precious Packaging hides in gift box (invincible but immobile). Festive Aura helps stamina regen. Too passive.
Brightney
Night Light reveals Twisteds during blackouts. Only useful during blackouts.
Poppy
Free starter. Panic Pop gives 50% speed when hit. Reactive rather than proactive.
Ribecca
The Undead makes her immune to debuffs. Situational.
D Tier - Avoid
Weak kits. Use only if you have nothing else.
Brusha
Artistic Inspiration buffs Skill Check stats. Skill checks aren’t hard enough to need this.
Razzle & Dazzle
Comedy/Tragedy changes stats on odd/even floors. Inconsistent and confusing.
Scraps
Crafty Graple pulls herself to Toons or machines. Worse than just walking there.
Shrimpo
Bully passive gives -99 Stealth. Literally the worst stat in the game. Twisteds find you instantly.
Toodles
Beginner’s Luck rolls for random 50% buff. RNG-based and unreliable.
What to Unlock First
If you’re new: Cosmo (1,000 Ichor) for healing support.
If you want extraction: Glisten (2,500 Ichor) or Yatta (2,000 Ichor) for 1.50 extraction speed.
If you want mobility: Flutter (1,300 Ichor) for Floaty Dash escapes.
Long-term goal: Sprout (4,500 Ichor) or Vee (4,500 Ichor) for Main Character power.
