Dandy's World All Twisteds Guide

I’ve died to Pebble more times than I want to admit. Like, embarrassingly many times. That 125 vision range is no joke, he sees you from across the entire map and then you’re just… dead. 25 chase speed means you’re not outrunning him either.

After 100+ hours of getting murdered by corrupted cartoon characters, I finally understand how every Twisted works. All 40 of them. This is everything I learned, mostly the hard way.

Grab the free Ichor from codes before you start. Better Trinkets make a huge difference, especially against the Main Character Twisteds.

What Even Are Twisteds

Twisteds are corrupted versions of the cute Toons. They patrol each floor hunting you while you try to extract machines. Get spotted, they chase. Get caught, you lose health. Get caught by a Lethal? You’re dead. One hit.

Every Twisted has three stats that matter:

Speed is how fast they move. Higher speed means less time to escape. Pebble has 25 chase speed. Dyle can hit 40 if you stare at him too long. Fun times.

Detection Range is vision (line of sight) and hearing (sound). Running makes noise. Failed skill checks make noise. Completing machines makes noise. Basically everything makes noise.

Attention Span is how long they search after losing you. Toodles gives up after 1 second. Ginger searches for 10 seconds. Big difference.

Five rarity tiers: Common (basic chasers), Uncommon (environmental effects), Rare (debuffs and ranged attacks), Main Character (floor-wide abilities, spawn Floor 5+), and Lethal (instant kill, requires perfect play).

How Detection Works

Two ways they find you: vision and hearing.

Vision is line of sight. Walls block it. Objects block it. Break line of sight and hide long enough, chase ends. Each Twisted has different vision range, anywhere from 50 to 125 units.

Hearing is sound detection. Running is loud. Failed skill checks are loud. Completed machines are loud. Crouching is quiet. Walk when Twisteds are nearby. I cannot stress this enough.

When a Twisted is on your floor, crouch-walk everywhere. Yes it’s slow. Yes it’s annoying. But getting caught is worse.

Common Twisteds

Training wheels. No special abilities, just basic chase mechanics. If you can’t handle these, the later floors will destroy you.

Boxten

The most basic Twisted. 18 chase speed, 60 vision, 125 hearing, 2.5 second attention span.

Break line of sight behind anything. Hide for 3 seconds. Done. He’s basically a tutorial enemy.

Trinket: Blue Bandana

Shrimpo

Slower than Boxten (16.5 speed) but searches longer (3 seconds). Easy to outrun but don’t peek out early or he’ll spot you again.

Trinket: Brick

Toodles

Fastest Common at 20 chase speed. Do NOT try to outrun her. But here’s the thing, she has 1 second attention span. Hide behind literally anything and she forgets you exist immediately.

Trinket: Dog Plush (actually useful, gives speed boost)

Yatta

19 chase speed with 140 hearing range. Dangerous if you’re making noise. His patrol speed is only 7 though, so you can avoid him easily if you’re quiet.

Trinket: Party Popper

Other Commons

Brusha has 175 hearing range. Be extra quiet. Cosmo is standard, good for practice. Looey has 2.75 second attention, hide an extra second. Tisha is baseline, nothing special. Poppy is identical to Boxten.

Uncommon Twisteds

These introduce actual mechanics beyond “run and hide.”

Brightney

Increases blackout chance on her floor. Screen goes dark, you lose visibility.

Memorize the floor layout before blackouts hit. Her red glow makes her easy to spot in the dark, which is ironic. Use flashlight sparingly because it reveals your position too.

Trinket: Spare Bulb (blackout protection, actually clutch)

Razzle & Dazzle

Stationary. A vine circles around them constantly. Walking through is safe. Running triggers an attack.

Just… walk. That’s it. Easiest Uncommon by far.

Trinket: Ribbon Spool

Rodger

Hides in fake Research Capsules. Pick up the wrong one and he activates, applying Slow III and Confused III debuffs.

Fake capsules look slightly different, no tape around them. If you’re unsure, skip it. Getting debuffed near other Twisteds is a death sentence.

Trinket: Magnifying Glass

Finn

Applies Slow III debuff for 5 seconds when you complete a machine. Clear the area before finishing machines. Have a hiding spot ready.

Trinket: Fishing Rod

Teagan

Steals 20% of your Tapes on hit. Tapes are currency. Losing 20% hurts. Treat her as high priority threat and play extra cautious.

Trinket: Fancy Purse

Connie

Possesses machines. Use the wrong one and take 1 HP damage. Check machines before using them, possessed ones have a visual effect. Just use a different machine.

Rare Twisteds

Direct attacks and debuffs. This is where the game gets hard.

Scraps

Ranged tail attack with 12 second cooldown. She doesn’t need to get close to hit you.

Always use hard cover. Her projectile can’t go through walls. Bait out her shot, then move while she’s on cooldown. Never stay in her line of sight.

Trinket: Crayon Set

Goob

Pulls you toward him from across the map. 10 second cooldown.

Never stay in his line of sight. Use peek tactics, quick looks around corners. If pulled, immediately run perpendicular to break line of sight. His slow speed means you can escape after the pull.

Trinket: Friendship Bracelet (pull resistance, very useful)

Flutter

Never stops moving while patrolling. Most Twisteds pause. She doesn’t.

Her constant movement is actually a weakness. Predict her path and slip by while she moves away. Listen for her movement sounds.

Trinket: Diary

Glisten

Has an enrage meter. No players nearby means meter fills. Full meter means 34 chase speed. You cannot outrun 34.

Someone needs to stay relatively close (but hidden) to prevent enrage. After all machines complete, he enrages automatically. Finish fast and get to the elevator.

Trinket: Vanity Mirror

Gigi

Steals items from your active slot. 10 second cooldown.

Unequip valuable items when she’s nearby. Switch to empty slot if possible.

Trinket: Lucky Coin

Blot

Stationary. Spawns moving Ichor hands when he sleeps. Hands deal 1 HP on contact but they’re slow and predictable. Avoid their paths, they disappear after 10 seconds.

Trinket: Mime Makeup

Main Character Twisteds

Floor 5+ only. These define the entire floor’s strategy. Mess up and you’re done.

Pebble

125 vision range. 200 hearing range. 25 chase speed. No complex ability because he doesn’t need one.

Stealth is your ONLY option. He sees you from across the map. Any noise attracts him. Crouch-walk the entire floor. If spotted, find a hiding spot immediately because you’re not outrunning him.

I died to Pebble probably 30 times before I figured out you literally cannot outrun him. Crouch-walk or die.

Trinket: Bone (stamina boost)

Shelly

Applies Confusion I debuff to ALL players. Reduces extraction speed by 25%.

Accept that machines take longer. Have a lookout while someone extracts. Team coordination is critical.

Trinket: Participation Award

Sprout

Spawns deadly tendrils under detected players. Tendrils last 15 seconds and deal 1 HP if you stand on them.

Keep moving when spotted. Don’t stand still. Tendrils have small area, easy to avoid if you move. Avoid getting cornered where tendrils block escape routes.

Trinket: Savory Charm

Vee

Three abilities: pop-up ads (45s cooldown), Slow II on chase target (10s cooldown), and global hearing. She can hear EVERYTHING.

Global hearing means complete silence. Don’t fail skill checks. Be ready for pop-up ads, find and click the X immediately. Expert-level Twisted requiring perfect play.

Trinket: Vee’s Remote

Lethal Twisteds

One hit kills. A single mistake means death.

Dandy

Instant kill on hit. Spawns if you skip her shop 3 times. Global hearing. Attracted to failed skill checks and completed machines.

Buy from her shop every time to prevent spawning. If she spawns: perfect skill checks only, zero noise, prioritize hiding over objectives. Don’t take ANY risks.

Trinket: Dandy Plush

Dyle

Instant kill. Speed increases the longer he sees you, from 16 to 40. Spawns from TIME’S UP cards.

Do NOT look at him. Break line of sight constantly. His speed resets when he loses sight. Move when his back is turned. This is the hardest Twisted to survive.

Trinket: Train Whistle

Holiday Twisteds

Seasonal events only.

Ginger (Christmas) has 10 second attention span. She searches forever. Hide completely and wait.

Coal (Christmas) gains massive speed boost during blackouts. Avoid blackouts when he’s active.

Eclipse (Halloween) howls when spotting players, attracting ALL other Twisteds. Extremely dangerous.

Bobette (Christmas) runs to any location where items are picked up. Coordinate pickups with team.

Gourdy (Halloween) has enrage meter like Glisten but with global hearing.

Research & Trinkets

Use the Research Camera to photograph Twisteds. 100% research unlocks their Trinket.

Start with Commons, they’re easiest to photograph safely. One photo per floor. Closer photos give more percentage. Don’t die or you lose progress for that run.

Best Trinkets to unlock first: Dog Plush (speed), Spare Bulb (blackout protection), Friendship Bracelet (pull resistance), Bone (stamina)

Survival Tips

Sound management: Crouch-walk near Twisteds. Clear area before completing machines. Practice skill checks because failed ones alert everyone.

Line of sight: Always know your nearest hiding spot. Use corners to peek. Break line of sight immediately when spotted.

Team coordination: Assign roles. Communicate positions. Have lookouts while others extract.

Attention span timing: Count seconds while hiding. Don’t peek too early.

Spawn Rates by Floor

Floors 1-4 have Common and Uncommon only. Floor 5+ adds Main Characters. Floor 10+ can have multiple Main Characters. Floor 15+ has more Rares. Floor 20+ is chaos.

Common Mistakes

Running everywhere (sound attracts them), peeking too early (wait for attention span), working machines in the open (always have cover), ignoring audio cues (sounds tell you where they are), not communicating (solo on Main Character floors is suicide), failing skill checks (practice them).
