Best Classes for Beginners
After dying probably 50+ times, here’s what I recommend.
Security is the safest pick for new players. Combat focused, straightforward gameplay. You shoot things. Things die. Simple.
Researcher is great if you want to understand the lore. Access to terminals and documents. Less combat, more investigation. I main this when I’m not feeling sweaty.
D-Class is hard mode. You’re expendable. The corporation treats you like it. But surviving as D-Class feels incredibly rewarding.
MTF (Mobile Task Force) is for experienced players. High combat effectiveness but you’re expected to handle the worst breaches. Pressure is real.
Real talk: I tried MTF on my third day. Got wiped immediately. Stick to Security until you understand entity behaviors.
Survival Tips

Check your equipment. Flashlights die. Weapons need ammo. Keycards expire. Nothing worse than reaching a locked door during a breach and realizing your keycard is gone.
Sound matters. Entities react to noise. Running, shooting, even talking too loud can attract attention. Sometimes the best strategy is staying quiet and waiting.
