Chop Your Tree Money Guide (January 2026)

Getting coins fast in Chop Your Tree comes down to three things: multiplier stacking, Prestige timing, and not wasting money on wrong upgrades. I went from struggling at thousands to hitting trillions after figuring out what actually matters. Took me about 15 hours of testing different approaches.

Most guides tell you to "buy upgrades" without explaining which ones pay for themselves fastest. I'll show you the actual math.

The Free 10% Most Players Miss

Join the Simple Bricks Roblox group before doing anything else. Permanent +10% coin multiplier. Free. Takes 10 seconds.

This stacks with everything - Void upgrades, totems, events, Robux boosts. Over time, that 10% adds up to millions in extra coins you'd otherwise miss.

Search "Simple Bricks Trees" in Roblox groups. Join. Done.

Early Game: 0 to 100K

Your first hour sets the pace for everything after.

Don't buy random stuff. Save everything for Auto-Taps (~50K coins). This is your first real goal. Auto-Taps fill watering cans while you're away, turning the game from active clicking to idle progression.

Upgrade your tap level. Higher tap = better watering cans = more XP per fill = faster tree growth = more coins per chop. The tap upgrade pays for itself within a few chops.

Collect every single coin. They scatter when the tree falls. Run around and grab them all. Missing 20% of your coins early means 20% slower progression to Auto-Taps.

Use mutations immediately. Gold and Shiny watering cans give bonus XP. Don't hoard them. Pour them on your tree the moment you get them.

After Auto-Taps, buy Sprinkler (150K). Then Fountain (~500K). Each one speeds up the next purchase.

Mid Game: 100K to 10M

This is where most players stall. They buy expensive sources before upgrading existing ones. Wrong move. I wasted probably 500K coins learning this the hard way.

The upgrade rule: A maxed Sprinkler beats an unupgraded Waterfall. Before buying the next tier, check if upgrading your current sources costs less than 1/3 of the new source. If yes, upgrade first.

Prestige at the right time. Your first Prestige should happen around tree level 100 with 50+ chops completed. Don't wait until you're "ready" - Void bonuses compound. Earlier Prestiges = faster long-term progression.

Void upgrade priority:

  • 2x Coins first (doubles all income)
  • 2x Tree Growth second (faster cycles)
  • 25% Cheaper Machines third (everything costs less)

Get 2x Coins first. Always. It literally doubles your money.

Late Game: 10M to 1B

You've Prestiged a few times. You have Void bonuses. Now it's about stacking multipliers.

Totems change everything. Ancient, Jungle, and Lava totems give multipliers when placed near your tree. One totem is good. Three totems stacked is where millions become billions.

How to get totems:

  • Rare drops from high-level trees
  • Trading with other players
  • Sometimes gifted in populated servers

Place them around your tree trunk, not off to the side. Proximity matters.

Event timing. Mega Luck events increase mutation rates. Acid Rain and Frost events give special can mutations. Time your grinding sessions around these. The bonus XP from event mutations stacks with your Void multipliers.

Water source progression:

  • Water Purifier (~2M) - High-capacity cans
  • Waterfall (~10M) - Big water output
  • Water Tower (~50M) - Late mid-game staple
  • Rain Cloud (~200M) - Full tree coverage

Rain Cloud is the turning point. Full coverage means no dead spots on your tree. Growth speed jumps noticeably.

End Game: 1B to Trillions

At this point, you understand the game. The difference between billion and trillion players comes down to Prestige frequency and multiplier stacking.

Prestige more often. Each Prestige gives more Void currency. More Void upgrades = bigger multipliers = faster rebuilds. Players who Prestige every 1-2 hours progress faster than players who grind for days on one run.

Max all Void upgrades. By Prestige 5-6, you should have most Void bonuses. The percentage increases compound multiplicatively, not additively.

Nuclear Fountain and beyond. At ~1B coins, Nuclear Fountain becomes available. This is end-game power. After that comes Plasma Generator, Snow Melter, and Icicle Farm. Each one is a significant jump.

Stack everything:

  • Roblox group bonus (+10%)
  • Void 2x Coins
  • Multiple totems around your tree
  • Event bonuses during Mega Luck
  • High-level watering can mutations
  • 2x Coins Robux boost (optional)

With full stacking, trees that gave thousands now give billions.

Money-Killing Mistakes

Buying sources out of order. Fountain before Sprinkler wastes coins. Follow the progression path.

Ignoring tap upgrades. Your tap level affects watering can quality. Better cans = more XP = faster growth = more coins. Upgrade it.

Waiting too long to Prestige. I made this mistake. Spent 3 hours grinding when I could've Prestiged, gotten 2x Coins, and rebuilt in 30 minutes. Prestige earlier.

Missing coins after chops. They fly everywhere. Run around. Grab them all. This matters more than you think early game.

Skipping the Roblox group. Free 10% multiplier. Permanent. Stacks with everything. Join it.

Buying cosmetics before progression. Axes and skins look cool but don't increase income. Buy them after you've maxed water sources.

Active vs Idle Money Making

Active grinding: Check in every 10-15 minutes. Use mutations immediately. Collect all coins manually. Time Prestiges around play sessions. Faster progression but requires attention.

Idle farming: Max Auto-Taps and automation sources. Check in every few hours. Spend accumulated coins on upgrades. Prestige when you remember. Slower but hands-off.

Both work. The game respects your time. Watering cans fill offline, so you always have something to do when you return.

For maximum money: Play actively during events (Mega Luck especially), idle the rest of the time.

The 2x Coins Robux Boost

The only Robux purchase worth considering for money-making. Doubles all coin income. Stacks with Void multipliers, totems, and events.

Worth it if:

  • You play daily
  • You've already maxed free multipliers
  • You want to speed up late-game

Skip if:

  • You're casual
  • You haven't Prestiged yet
  • You're still learning the game

The boost doesn't replace good strategy. It amplifies it. A player with 2x boost but bad Prestige timing will progress slower than a F2P player who Prestiges correctly.

Quick Reference: Coin Multipliers

Source Bonus How to Get
Roblox Group +10% Join Simple Bricks Trees group
Void 2x Coins x2 First Prestige, buy in Void
Ancient Totem Variable Rare drop/trade
Jungle Totem Variable Rare drop/trade
Lava Totem Variable Rare drop/trade
Mega Luck Event Mutation boost Wait for event
2x Coins Boost x2 Robux purchase

Stack all of these. Multipliers compound.

Progression Checkpoints

Use these to gauge if you're on track:

Time Played Coins Milestone
30 min ~50K Auto-Taps purchased
1 hour ~200K Sprinkler + Fountain
2 hours ~2M First Prestige done
4 hours ~20M Waterfall purchased
8 hours ~200M Rain Cloud purchased
16 hours ~2B Nuclear Fountain
24+ hours Trillions End-game sources

If you're behind these numbers, check if you're making the mistakes listed above.
