Break a Lucky Block Pickaxe Tier List (2026)

Disco Pickaxe is the best value in Break a Lucky Block. It costs 1M cash but has 150 Power, enough to farm Block Gods efficiently. Galaxy and Void are stronger but cost 5x-25x more for diminishing returns.

I've used every pickaxe in this game across six rebirths. The tier list below ranks them by value, not just raw power. A pickaxe that costs 25M but only doubles your speed isn't worth it when you could rebirth twice in that time.

Pickaxe Tier List

S-Tier (Best Value)

Pickaxe Power Cost Why S-Tier
Disco 150 1M Best power-to-cost ratio in the game
Diamond 75 250K Solid mid-game, affordable

Disco Pickaxe is where most players should aim. The jump from Diamond (75) to Disco (150) is massive. You can break Block Gods in reasonable time and farm Angel Blocks in seconds. I used Disco for three full rebirths before upgrading.

Diamond Pickaxe is the gateway to mid-game. Once you have Diamond, you can handle most content except Secret Blocks. Great stopping point before your first few rebirths.

A-Tier (Strong)

Pickaxe Power Cost Why A-Tier
Galaxy 300 5M Endgame standard
Gold 35 50K Early game carry

Galaxy Pickaxe doubles Disco's power but costs 5x more. Worth it if you're pushing late game, but the grind from 1M to 5M is long. Only buy this after you've rebirthed several times and have the multipliers to farm efficiently.

Gold Pickaxe carries early game. It's the first pickaxe that can handle Angel Blocks without taking forever. Buy this before your first rebirth.

B-Tier (Decent)

Pickaxe Power Cost Why B-Tier
Void 500 25M Overkill for most content
Iron 15 10K Quick early upgrade

Void Pickaxe is the strongest in the game but costs 25M. By the time you can afford it, you've already beaten most content. It's a flex item more than a necessity. The power jump from Galaxy (300) to Void (500) doesn't justify the 5x price increase.

Iron Pickaxe is a quick upgrade from Stone. Cheap enough to buy early, strong enough to speed up Normal Block farming. Don't skip it.

C-Tier (Skip If Possible)

Pickaxe Power Cost Why C-Tier
Stone 5 1K Necessary evil

Stone Pickaxe is your first upgrade from Wood. You need it, but don't spend more time with it than necessary. Farm enough for Iron as fast as possible.

D-Tier (Avoid)

Pickaxe Power Cost Why D-Tier
Wood 1 Free Starting trash

Wood Pickaxe is what you spawn with. It's terrible. Replace it immediately. Even 1K for Stone is worth the upgrade.

Pickaxe Stats Comparison

Pickaxe Power Cost Power per 1K Cash
Wood 1 0 N/A
Stone 5 1K 5.0
Iron 15 10K 1.5
Gold 35 50K 0.7
Diamond 75 250K 0.3
Disco 150 1M 0.15
Galaxy 300 5M 0.06
Void 500 25M 0.02

The power-per-cost ratio drops as you go higher. Stone is technically the most efficient, but you need raw power to break harder blocks. The sweet spot is Disco, where you get enough power to farm everything except Secret Blocks efficiently.

Which Pickaxe to Buy When

Pre-Rebirth 1

Goal: Diamond Pickaxe

Buy order:

  1. Stone (1K)
  2. Iron (10K)
  3. Gold (50K)
  4. Diamond (250K)
  5. Rebirth

Don't push for Disco before your first rebirth. The cash multipliers from rebirthing make the grind to 1M much faster.

Rebirth 1-3

Goal: Disco Pickaxe

After rebirth, rush back to Diamond, then push for Disco. The rebirth multipliers make this faster than your first playthrough.

With Disco, you can farm Block Gods. This is where the game opens up.

Rebirth 4+

Goal: Galaxy Pickaxe

Once you have multiple rebirth bonuses stacked, the grind to 5M becomes reasonable. Galaxy lets you break Secret Blocks faster, which is the main endgame activity.

Rebirth 6+

Goal: Void Pickaxe (Optional)

Void is a luxury. If you're still playing at this point, you're either going for leaderboards or just enjoying the grind. The 25M cost is steep even with max rebirth bonuses.

Block Breaking Speed

How long each pickaxe takes to break different blocks:

Pickaxe Normal Angel Block God Secret
Wood Slow Forever Impossible Impossible
Stone Medium Very Slow Impossible Impossible
Iron Fast Slow Very Slow Impossible
Gold Instant Medium Slow Very Slow
Diamond Instant Fast Medium Slow
Disco Instant Instant Fast Medium
Galaxy Instant Instant Instant Fast
Void Instant Instant Instant Instant

"Impossible" means you'll die to Sammy before breaking the block, even with Invisibility Cloak. "Very Slow" means you can do it, but it's not efficient.

Common Mistakes

Saving for Galaxy before rebirthing. The grind from 1M to 5M takes forever without rebirth bonuses. Rebirth at Disco, not Galaxy.

Skipping Gold. Gold is the first pickaxe that makes Angel Blocks farmable. Don't jump straight from Iron to Diamond.

Buying Void too early. If you're struggling to afford Void, you don't need it yet. Galaxy handles everything.

Not rebirthing with a good pickaxe. Always buy the best pickaxe you can afford before rebirthing. Starting fresh with rebirth bonuses but no pickaxe wastes time.

My Progression Path

Here's exactly what I did across six rebirths:

Rebirth 0: Wood → Stone → Iron → Gold → Diamond → Rebirth Rebirth 1: Stone → Gold → Diamond → Disco → Rebirth Rebirth 2: Stone → Diamond → Disco → Rebirth Rebirth 3: Stone → Disco → Rebirth Rebirth 4: Stone → Disco → Galaxy → Rebirth Rebirth 5: Stone → Galaxy → Rebirth Rebirth 6: Stone → Galaxy → Void (current)

Each rebirth gets faster because of the multipliers. By Rebirth 4, I was hitting Disco within an hour.

Pickaxe Tier List Summary

Tier Pickaxes Verdict
S Disco, Diamond Buy these, use these
A Galaxy, Gold Strong at their price points
B Void, Iron Situational
C Stone Necessary stepping stone
D Wood Replace immediately

Quick Summary

Rush Diamond before first rebirth. Rush Disco after rebirth. Galaxy is endgame. Void is optional flex.
