I’ve been grinding Roblox horror games for years now. Some are genuinely terrifying. Some are mid. And some are so good I’ve put 100+ hours into them without getting bored.
This list covers the best Roblox horror games heading into 2026. Not just popular games, but games that actually deliver on the horror. I’ve played all of these extensively, so you’re getting real opinions, not a copy-pasted list from Google.
1. Scary Shawarma Kiosk

239 million visits for a reason. You work the night shift at a shawarma stand, serving customers through a tiny window. Some customers are normal. Some have creatures attached to their backs or black hole eyes.
The 2 AM inspection still gets me every time. A driverless car pulls up and you have to exit through the back door without looking. The urge to look is real. Don’t do it.
What makes it great: The anomaly detection is genuinely challenging. You’re checking CCTV, toggling night vision for skinwalkers, and memorizing rules that change every shift. The Christmas event added The Narrator, which gives “helpful” advice that’s actually wrong. Classic.
Play if you like: Anomaly detection, jump scares, psychological horror
2. Bakso Malang Anomalies

The Indonesian anomaly detection game that’s been blowing up since late 2025. You run a late-night noodle stall and serve customers while spotting fakes using the Third Eye ability.
Here’s the twist that makes it different from Scary Shawarma: overusing Third Eye attracts supernatural attention. The green meter fills up and suddenly you’re crossing into the spirit world. I held Q for 10 seconds once just to see what would happen. Got the Army of Jinns ending. Don’t be me.
40+ unique anomalies, 9 different endings, and the devs update almost daily. This is my current obsession.
Play if you like: Anomaly detection, multiple endings, Indonesian horror
3. Dandy’s World

Don’t let the cartoon aesthetic fool you. Dandy’s World is brutal. You and up to 7 players pick Toons and descend through floors of Gardenview Center while Twisteds (corrupted versions of the Toons) hunt you.
I got destroyed my first 20 runs. Didn’t understand Trinkets, picked bad Toons, ran everywhere instead of crouch-walking. The game has serious depth once you learn it. Toon synergies, Trinket optimization, team coordination.
Floor 5+ is where it gets real. Main Character Twisteds spawn with floor-wide abilities. Pebble has 125 vision range. Vee has global hearing. The difficulty spike is no joke.
Play if you like: Co-op horror, entity survival, progression systems
4. Dead Rails

Cooperative survival on a train traveling through zombie territory. Keep the train running with coal, loot towns for supplies, and survive until you reach the end of the line.
600,000+ players and 93%+ approval rating. It’s genuinely one of the best survival experiences on Roblox. The day/night cycle matters. Daytime is relatively safe. Nighttime brings vampires, werewolves, and way more zombies.
I died 47 times before my first successful run. The learning curve is steep but fair.
Play if you like: Co-op survival, resource management, zombie horror
5. Terminal 13: Not Human

Papers Please meets That’s Not My Neighbor. You’re a night shift security guard at an airport terminal, checking passports and deciding if travelers are human or imposter.
Seven travelers per shift. Ask questions, compare answers to passport info, and either let them through or shoot them. Let an imposter through? Something bad comes for you at the end of your shift.
The Scanner item is mandatory. $85 but instantly tells you human or imposter. The Discord recommends buying this first every time.
Play if you like: Anomaly detection, Papers Please style, tension
6. FNAF Eternal Nights

Dead by Daylight meets Five Nights at Freddy’s. You’re not watching cameras from safety. You’re IN the pizzeria, hiding in lockers, managing your flashlight battery, and trying to survive until 6 AM.
I thought I knew FNAF. Played the original games, watched the lore videos. Then I loaded into Eternal Nights and died within 2 minutes. The mask mechanic, the Puppet’s music box, Golden Freddy destroying fuses on Night 5. It’s a lot.
Night 4 and 5 are where most players hit a wall. The Puppet will spawn if you neglect the music box. Don’t let this happen. The Puppet has no counter.
Play if you like: FNAF, survival horror, night progression
7. 99 Nights in the Forest

Survive 99 nights in a forest while The Deer hunts you. Build during the day, defend at night, rescue kids for time skips.
My first 15 attempts? Didn’t make it past Night 10. The Deer destroyed my base, cultists overwhelmed me, and I had no idea what I was doing. Now I’ve survived 500+ days across multiple runs.
The Owl is scarier than The Deer. It detects movement, not presence. Your instincts scream “run” but running gets you killed. Stay. Still.
Play if you like: Base building, night survival, progression systems
8. Plague

Left 4 Dead meets Roblox. Fast rounds, intense survival, and that panic when you hear zombies closing in from every direction.
Each round starts with most players as survivors and a few as zombies. Survivors need to stay alive until the timer runs out. Zombies need to infect everyone. When a zombie gets you, you become one of them.
The Samurai class with the chainsaw one-shots zombies. If you roll this, you’re set for survivor rounds.
Play if you like: Fast-paced horror, PvP elements, class-based gameplay
9. Hunty Zombie

The best zombie survival RPG on Roblox. 601 million visits, constant updates, and a build system deep enough to keep you grinding for months.
Every run combines weapons, traits, perks, pets, passives, and skill tree upgrades. Get the right combination and you’re one-shotting bosses. Get it wrong and you’re dying on wave 20.
Vampire perk is mandatory. Lifesteal keeps you alive through anything. I ran Vampire from level 25 to level 100 and never switched.
Play if you like: RPG progression, build optimization, zombie shooters
10. FNAF Co-op
Classic FNAF experience but with friends. Multiple players work together to survive the night shift at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.
Less intense than Eternal Nights but more accessible. Good entry point if you want FNAF vibes without the brutal difficulty.
Play if you like: FNAF, co-op horror, classic survival
Honorable Mentions
These didn’t make the top 10 but are worth checking out:
Hide or Die - Classic hide and seek horror. Simple but effective.
Forsaken - Dead by Daylight style asymmetric horror.
Neighbors - Hello Neighbor vibes on Roblox.
What Makes a Good Roblox Horror Game?
After playing hundreds of hours across these games, here’s what separates the great ones:
Atmosphere matters. The best horror games nail the audio design. Scary Shawarma’s ambient sounds, Dandy’s World’s Twisted audio cues, FNAF Eternal Nights’ animatronic footsteps. Play with headphones.
Mechanics over jump scares. Jump scares are cheap. The games on this list have actual gameplay depth. Anomaly detection, resource management, build optimization. The horror comes from tension, not just loud noises.
Replayability. Multiple endings, progression systems, different classes. The best horror games keep you coming back.
Fair difficulty. Hard is fine. Unfair is not. Every game on this list can be beaten with skill and knowledge. No RNG deaths.
Which One Should You Play First?
New to Roblox horror? Start with Scary Shawarma Kiosk. It’s accessible, has clear mechanics, and the anomaly detection is satisfying once you learn it.
Want co-op? Dead Rails or Dandy’s World. Both are better with friends.
Want deep progression? Hunty Zombie or 99 Nights in the Forest. These have the most build depth.
Want pure terror? FNAF Eternal Nights or Bakso Malang Anomalies. These games actually scared me.
