Arise Ragnarok Class Tier List (January 2026)

I’ve tested every class since the Christmas release to create this Arise Ragnarok class tier list. Spent hours on each one, ran dungeons, did PvP, and pushed progression. Some classes dominate. Others struggle.

Class rerolls are currently free during beta. Use this to your advantage. Test everything, find what clicks, then commit to a build.

Quick Tier List

TierClasses
SAssassin, Mage
ATank, Warrior
BHealer

S-Tier dominates all content. Pick these for the fastest progression.

A-Tier is solid and viable. Good for specific playstyles or team content.

B-Tier works but requires more effort. Better in groups than solo.

S-Tier Classes

Assassin

Role: Burst DPS
Difficulty: Medium
Best For: Solo progression, PvP, speedrunning

The Assassin is the best class in Arise Ragnarok right now. Fast clear speeds, insane burst damage, and high mobility make it perfect for grinding.

Why S-Tier:

  • Highest single-target damage
  • Fast movement with dashes
  • Stun lock potential
  • Melts bosses
  • Great in PvP

Stat Build:

StatPriority
Strength1st (main damage)
Mana2nd (ability spam)
Vitality3rd (survivability)
Agility4th (get to 200 for dashes)

Playstyle:

  1. Dash behind enemy
  2. Stun ability
  3. Burst combo
  4. Dash out
  5. Repeat

The Assassin rewards aggressive play. You’re squishy, so positioning matters. But if you can execute the combo, nothing survives.

Weaknesses:

  • Low HP pool
  • Requires good mechanics
  • Struggles against multiple enemies
  • Mana hungry early game

Mage

Role: AoE DPS
Difficulty: Easy
Best For: Mob farming, dungeons, beginners

The Mage is the easiest class to play and still S-Tier. You stay at range, spam AoE abilities, and watch everything die. Perfect for new players who want results without mastering mechanics.

Why S-Tier:

  • Best AoE damage
  • Safe ranged playstyle
  • Easy to learn
  • Clears mobs fast
  • Strong in dungeons

Stat Build:

StatPriority
Intelligence1st (spell damage)
Mana2nd (ability spam)
Vitality3rd (survivability)
Agility4th (mobility)

Playstyle:

  1. Keep distance from enemies
  2. AoE slow/root
  3. Burst spells
  4. Kite while on cooldown
  5. Repeat

The Mage is forgiving. Mess up your positioning? You’re still at range. Miss a combo? Your AoE still hits. It’s the “I just want to progress” class.

Weaknesses:

  • Lower single-target damage than Assassin
  • Mana dependent
  • Slower boss kills
  • Less effective in PvP

A-Tier Classes

Tank

Role: Frontline Defense
Difficulty: Easy
Best For: Group content, dungeons, learning the game

The Tank is unkillable. You won’t top damage charts, but you also won’t die. Perfect for players who want to learn mechanics without constant respawns.

Why A-Tier:

  • Highest survivability
  • Easy to play
  • Great for dungeons
  • Essential in group content
  • Forgiving for mistakes

Stat Build:

StatPriority
Vitality1st (HP and defense)
Strength2nd (some damage)
Mana3rd (ability use)
Agility4th (mobility)

Playstyle:

  1. Engage first
  2. Use taunt abilities
  3. Absorb damage
  4. Let shadows deal damage
  5. Sustain through fights

The Tank is the “I don’t want to think” class. Walk in, press buttons, survive. Your shadows do the killing.

Weaknesses:

  • Slow clear speed
  • Low damage output
  • Boring for some players
  • Overkill for easy content

Warrior

Role: Balanced Melee
Difficulty: Easy
Best For: Beginners who want melee, balanced gameplay

The Warrior is the most straightforward class. Good damage, good survivability, no gimmicks. It’s the “jack of all trades, master of none” pick.

Why A-Tier:

  • Balanced stats
  • Easy to learn
  • Decent damage
  • Good survivability
  • Works everywhere

Stat Build:

StatPriority
Strength1st (damage)
Vitality2nd (survivability)
Mana3rd (abilities)
Agility4th (mobility)

Playstyle:

  1. Engage enemies
  2. Use damage abilities
  3. Trade hits
  4. Sustain through Vitality
  5. Repeat

The Warrior doesn’t excel at anything but doesn’t fail at anything either. If you’re unsure what to play, Warrior is safe.

Weaknesses:

  • Outclassed by Assassin in damage
  • Outclassed by Tank in survivability
  • No unique strengths
  • Average at everything

B-Tier Classes

Healer

Role: Support
Difficulty: Hard
Best For: Group content only

The Healer is the weakest solo class but essential in groups. If you’re playing with friends, one Healer makes dungeons trivial. Solo? You’ll struggle.

Why B-Tier:

  • Essential for group content
  • Keeps team alive
  • Enables harder content
  • Unique utility

But Also:

  • Terrible solo progression
  • Low damage
  • Dependent on team
  • Boring without friends

Stat Build:

StatPriority
Intelligence1st (healing power)
Mana2nd (sustain heals)
Vitality3rd (don’t die)
Agility4th (positioning)

Playstyle:

  1. Stay behind team
  2. Watch health bars
  3. Heal when needed
  4. Use utility abilities
  5. Don’t die

The Healer is a support class in a game where support isn’t necessary for most content. Play it if you enjoy the role, but know you’re handicapping yourself solo.

Weaknesses:

  • Worst solo class
  • Low damage
  • Team dependent
  • Slow progression alone

  • You enjoy high-risk, high-reward gameplay
  • You plan to PvP

Pick Mage if:

  • You’re new to the game
  • You want easy, effective gameplay
  • You prefer ranged combat
  • You’ll be running lots of dungeons

Pick Tank if:

  • You’re learning the game
  • You hate dying
  • You play with friends
  • You want a chill experience

Pick Warrior if:

  • You want balanced gameplay
  • You’re unsure what to pick
  • You like melee without complexity
  • You want flexibility

Pick Healer if:

  • You always play with friends
  • You enjoy support roles
  • You don’t mind slow solo progression
  • Your group needs a healer

Class Reroll Strategy

Class rerolls are free during beta. Here’s how to use them:

  1. Start with Mage to learn the game
  2. Try Assassin once you understand mechanics
  3. Test Tank and Warrior for comparison
  4. Skip Healer unless you have a group
  5. Commit to Assassin or Mage for progression

Don’t waste time on Healer solo. Don’t pick Warrior if you can handle Assassin. The tier list exists for a reason.
