Arise Crossover Beginner's Guide (2026)

Arise Crossover dropped me into a Solo Leveling-inspired world with nothing but a shovel and dreams of building a shadow army. After 200+ hours grinding through islands and dungeons, I’ve figured out exactly what new players need to know.

What is Arise Crossover?

Arise Crossover is a Roblox game inspired by Solo Leveling where you defeat enemies and “arise” them as shadows that fight for you. You progress through islands, clear dungeons, and build an army of increasingly powerful shadows.

The game has 81M+ visits and 180K+ active players. It’s one of the most polished anime games on Roblox.

Core Mechanics

The Arise System

When you defeat an enemy, you get two choices:

  • Arise - Convert them into a shadow that fights for you
  • Destroy - Get gems instead

Early game, always choose Arise. You need shadows to progress. Later, you can destroy duplicates for gems.

Shadow Ranks

Shadows have ranks that determine their power ceiling:

RankMax LevelPower
E75Weakest
D100Low
C125Medium
B150Good
A175Great
S200Excellent
SS225Top tier
G250Best
N+275+Legendary

Higher rank = higher damage potential. An SS shadow will always outperform an S shadow at max level.

Upgrading Shadows

To upgrade a shadow to SS rank:

  1. Collect one copy of each rank (E, D, C, B, A, S)
  2. Go to the Shadow Upgrader
  3. Combine all 6 copies
  4. Pay the upgrade cost
  5. Receive your SS rank shadow

This is why you want multiple copies of good shadows - you need them for upgrades.

Island Progression

The game has multiple islands, each harder than the last:

Leveling City (Starter Island)

Your first island. Enemies here are weak but perfect for learning.

Key Shadows:

  • Soondoo, Gonshee, Daek (starter shadows)
  • Longin, Anders, Largalgan (better options)
  • Vermillion (boss shadow - your first real upgrade)

Goal: Build a team of 4+ shadows, get Vermillion from the boss.

Grass Village

Second island with stronger enemies.

Key Shadows:

  • Snake Man, Blossom, Black Crow
  • Dor (boss shadow - solid mid-game unit)

Goal: Upgrade your team, farm Dor copies for SS upgrade.

Brum Island

Third island, significant difficulty spike.

Key Shadows:

  • Shark Man, Eminel, Light Admiral
  • Mifalcon (boss shadow - A-tier unit)

Goal: Get Mifalcon, start working toward SS shadows.

Faceheal Town

Fourth island with Bleach-inspired enemies.

Key Shadows:

  • Luryu, Fyakuya, Genji
  • Murcielago (boss shadow - high damage)

Goal: Farm Murcielago for late-game team.

Advanced Islands

Later islands include:

  • Lucky Kingdom (Sortudo)
  • Nipon Town (Heaven, Zere, Ika)
  • Mori Town (Diablo, Gosuke, Golyne)
  • Dragon City (Turtle, Green, Sky)
  • Jedu/Ant Island (Beru/Ziru - best shadow)

Dungeons

Dungeons are your main source of rare shadows and rewards.

How Dungeons Work

  1. Gates spawn every 30 minutes around islands
  2. Use gems to enter (cost varies by dungeon rank)
  3. Clear all enemies inside
  4. Boss at the end drops rare shadows
  5. Higher rank dungeons = better rewards

Dungeon Ranks

Special Dungeons

  • Double Dungeons - Rare spawn, 2x rewards
  • Red Gates - Even rarer, best rewards
  • Infernal Castle - Endgame dungeon with floors

Infernal Castle

The endgame dungeon with 70+ floors:

  • Floor 30+ drops G-rank upgrade materials
  • Floor 65+ can drop M-rank Monarch
  • Each floor gets progressively harder
  • Best source of top-tier shadows

Building Your Team

Team Composition

You can have up to 6 shadows active. Here’s how to build:

Early Game (Leveling City):

  • Any 4 shadows you can arise
  • Focus on quantity over quality
  • Replace weaker shadows as you get better ones

Mid Game (Grass Village - Brum Island):

  • 1-2 boss shadows (Vermillion, Dor, Mifalcon)
  • Fill remaining slots with best available
  • Start upgrading to SS rank

Late Game (Faceheal Town+):

  • All SS rank shadows
  • Focus on S-tier shadows (Ziru, Monarch, Time King)
  • Work toward G-rank upgrades

Shadow Priority

Which shadows to focus on:

  1. Ziru (Beru) - Best shadow in the game at G-rank
  2. Monarch - Second best, can reach M-rank
  3. Time King - Best SS-only shadow
  4. Murcielago - Great A-tier option
  5. Mifalcon - Solid mid-game boss
