Anime Last Stand Tier List (January 2026)

I’ve been grinding Anime Last Stand since the beta. 200+ hours, cleared every story mode, and I’m pushing wave 150+ in Infinite Mode. This tier list is based on actual testing, not theorycrafting.

The meta shifts with every update. The December 2025 Winter Update buffed some units and introduced new Godly options. I’ll keep this updated as things change.

Quick note: traits matter more than rarity. A Legendary with perfect traits can outperform a Godly with trash traits. Use those free rerolls from codes wisely.

Quick Reference

TierUnits

S+ Tier (Meta Defining)

These units break the game. If you have one, build your team around it.

Shinra (Godly)

Current meta king. No contest.

I pulled Shinra around hour 80 and my Infinite Mode progress jumped from wave 90 to 150+. His damage scaling is insane. With perfect traits, he’s hitting 200k+ per attack in late waves.

Why he’s broken:

  • Highest single-target DPS in the game
  • Attack speed scales with upgrades
  • Passive that ignores enemy defense
  • Fire damage burns through boss HP

Best traits: Damage+, Attack Speed+, Range+

Placement: Put him where he can hit bosses. His single-target focus means he’s wasted on trash waves.

Ancient Vampire (Over Heaven)

The best support in the game. Every team needs one.

I ran pure DPS for 50 hours before someone told me to try Ancient Vampire. My damage literally doubled. His buffs are multiplicative, not additive. That’s huge.

Why he’s essential:

  • Team-wide damage buff (40% at max)
  • Attack speed aura
  • Lifesteal for nearby units
  • Debuffs enemy defense

Best traits: Range+, Buff Duration+, Cost-

Placement: Center of your formation. His aura needs to hit your DPS units.

The True Cursed King

Evolved from Cursed King (Suppressed). The evolution is worth the grind.

Took me 3 weeks to get the evolution materials. Worth every hour. His AoE damage clears waves that would otherwise overwhelm you.

Why he dominates:

  • Massive AoE damage
  • Curse debuff stacks on enemies
  • Self-buff when enemies die
  • Scales infinitely in Infinite Mode

Best traits: Damage+, AoE Range+, Attack Speed+

Placement: Choke points where enemies stack up.

Hero Hunter (Cosmic)

The boss killer. When you need something dead, Hero Hunter delivers.

I use him specifically for boss waves. His damage ramps up the longer he attacks the same target. By wave 100+, he’s doing 300k+ per hit on bosses.

Why he’s S+:

  • Ramping damage on single targets
  • Ignores 50% of boss defense
  • Critical hit chance scales with upgrades
  • Passive that triggers on boss spawn

Best traits: Damage+, Crit Chance+, Crit Damage+

Placement: Boss lanes. Don’t waste him on trash.

S Tier (Excellent)

Not quite meta-defining, but close. These units carry teams.

Zuffy (Sun God)

Luffy’s evolved form. The transformation is worth chasing.

Strengths:

  • Insane burst damage
  • AoE that hits entire screen
  • Stun on special ability
  • Looks cool (matters more than you’d think)

Weaknesses:

  • Long cooldown on special
  • Needs setup time
  • Expensive to upgrade

Best traits: Damage+, Cooldown-, Range+

Boku (Mastered Instinct)

Goku’s final form. Consistent damage dealer.

Strengths:

  • Balanced stats across the board
  • Fast attack speed
  • Dodge chance passive
  • Good at all content

Weaknesses:

  • Master of none
  • Outclassed by specialists
  • Expensive evolution path

Best traits: Attack Speed+, Damage+, Dodge+

Benji (Hell Hero)

Demon form evolution. Underrated by most players.

I slept on Benji for months. Then I saw someone use him in Infinite Mode and hit wave 200. His demon form passive is secretly broken.

Strengths:

  • Damage increases as HP drops
  • Lifesteal keeps him alive
  • AoE scales with missing HP
  • Clutch potential in late waves

Weaknesses:

  • Risky playstyle
  • Needs specific team support
  • Falls off if you can’t manage HP

Best traits: Damage+, Lifesteal+, HP-

Pride (The One)

Escanor’s evolved form. Noon mechanic is unique.

Strengths:

  • Massive damage at “noon” (peak power)
  • Burns enemies
  • Team damage buff
  • Satisfying to use

Weaknesses:

  • Inconsistent damage outside noon
  • Timing dependent
  • Needs game knowledge to optimize

Best traits: Damage+, Noon Duration+, Attack Speed+

Baryon Naruto

The newest addition. Still testing but he’s strong.

Strengths:

  • Highest base stats in the game
  • Life drain mechanic
  • Ignores all defense
  • Looks incredible

Weaknesses:

  • Self-damage over time
  • Needs support to sustain
  • Expensive to max

Best traits: Damage+, Lifesteal+, HP Regen+

A Tier (Great)

Solid units that work in most content. Not meta but definitely usable.

Cursed King (Suppressed)

Pre-evolution form. Still hits 180k with right traits.

I used Suppressed for 100 hours before getting True evolution. He carried me through World 3 and early Infinite. Don’t sleep on him just because the evolution exists.

Best traits: Damage+, AoE+, Attack Speed+

Baldy (Bored)

Saitama reference. One punch, massive damage.

Strengths:

  • Highest single-hit damage
  • Instant kill on weak enemies
  • Satisfying gameplay
  • Good for wave clear

Weaknesses:

  • Slow attack speed
  • Overkill on trash
  • Wasted damage potential

Best traits: Damage+, Attack Speed+, Range+

Cloud (Advent)

Final Fantasy crossover unit. Solid all-rounder.

Best traits: Damage+, Crit+, Range+

Rimuru (Demon Lord)

Slime evolution. Absorb mechanic is unique.

Best traits: Absorb Rate+, Damage+, HP+

Gojo (Unsealed)

Infinity passive blocks damage. Good for survival.

Best traits: Range+, Damage+, Infinity Duration+

B Tier (Decent)

Usable but outclassed. Good for early-mid game.

Tanjiro (Sun Breathing)

Demon Slayer rep. Solid but not special.

Ichigo (Bankai)

Bleach crossover. Needs buffs honestly.

Vegeta (Blue)

Outclassed by Boku. Still usable.

Luffy (Gear 5)

Pre-Zuffy form. Evolve him ASAP.

Escanor (The One)

Pre-Pride form. Noon mechanic is weaker here.

C Tier (Skip)

Don’t invest resources here unless you have nothing else.

Most base Legendaries, unevolved Mythics, and starter units fall here. They’re fine for clearing story mode but won’t help in Infinite.

Trait Priority Guide

Traits matter more than you think. Here’s what to prioritize:

DPS Units

  1. Damage+ (always)
  2. Attack Speed+ (for consistent damage)
  3. Crit Chance+ (if unit has crit scaling)
  4. Range+ (quality of life)

Support Units

  1. Range+ (hit more allies)
  2. Buff Duration+ (more uptime)
  3. Cost- (deploy faster)
  4. Cooldown- (more ability uses)

Tank Units

  1. HP+ (survive longer)
  2. Defense+ (reduce damage)
  3. Regen+ (sustain)
  4. Taunt Range+ (protect more allies)

Team Composition

Here’s what I run for Infinite Mode:

Main DPS: Shinra (Godly) Secondary DPS: Hero Hunter (Cosmic) Support: Ancient Vampire (Over Heaven) AoE Clear: The True Cursed King Flex: Baryon Naruto or Baldy (Bored)

This comp got me to wave 180. Still pushing.

Budget Team (No Godlys)

Main DPS: Cursed King (Suppressed) Secondary DPS: Baldy (Bored) Support: Any attack speed buffer AoE: Gojo (Unsealed) Flex: Best available

This carried me through World 3 before I pulled Godlys.

Common Mistakes

Chasing rarity over traits. A Mythic with perfect traits beats a Godly with bad traits. Use your rerolls.

Ignoring supports. Ancient Vampire doubles your team damage. That’s not an exaggeration.

Spreading resources. Focus on 4-5 units. Perfect those before touching others.

Skipping evolutions. Some evolutions are massive power spikes. Check evolution paths before investing.
