Time Stop is the only S-tier gear in Anime Final Quest. Freezing all enemies creates free damage windows that nothing else matches. I've clutched Nightmare runs at 10% HP by freezing, healing, and dumping my full combo while everything stood still.
The gear pool is small since AFQ is still in beta. Four options total. Time Stop is broken, Coyote Pistol is decent, everything else is filler.

S-Tier
Time Stop (Mythic)
Best gear in the game. Freezes all enemies for a few seconds.
Boss about to hit you with an attack you can't dodge? Freeze. Surrounded by mobs with no escape? Freeze. Teammate down and you need to revive? Freeze.
The freeze duration is short. Maybe 2-3 seconds. But that's enough to dump your full combo, reposition, or heal through a medkit. I've turned guaranteed deaths into clutch wins by hitting F at the right moment.
Time Stop works in every situation. Solo, team, wave clear, boss fights. No other gear comes close to this versatility.
If you roll Time Stop, you're done with gear. Stop spinning.
A-Tier
Coyote Pistol (Legendary)
Best Legendary gear. Fires a long-range AOE beam.
Low cooldown means you're spamming this constantly. The beam has solid range, so you can hit enemies before they reach you. In wave-based content, you're firing off cooldown to thin the herd before they stack up.
Coyote Pistol is the damage option. Time Stop is utility, Coyote Pistol is raw output.
The gap between Time Stop and Coyote Pistol is smaller than the weapon tier gaps. If you can't roll Time Stop, Coyote Pistol is a legitimate alternative. You're trading clutch saves for faster clear speed.
B-Tier
Heal (Rare)
Regenerates health over time for you and nearby allies.
Training wheels gear. Keeps you alive while you learn boss patterns. Stacks with dropped medkits for extra sustain.
The problem is opportunity cost. You're giving up Time Stop's clutch potential or Coyote Pistol's damage for passive healing. Once you're comfortable with boss patterns, Heal becomes unnecessary.
New players should use Heal until they stop dying to avoidable damage. Then switch to Time Stop or Coyote Pistol.
Blood Hammer (Epic)
Slams a hammer into the ground for AOE damage.
Big splash radius. One slam can erase a mob pack if you time it right.
Coyote Pistol does damage better with lower cooldown and more range. Blood Hammer is only worth using if you haven't rolled anything else. Replace it as soon as you get Coyote Pistol.
Weapons Matter More
A good weapon with bad gear clears content. Bad weapon with good gear struggles.
Priority:
- Roll for King of Curses (S-tier weapon)
- Roll for Time Stop (S-tier gear)
- Upgrade traits on your weapon
- Settle for Coyote Pistol if needed
Don't burn all your Lucky Gear Spins chasing Time Stop if you don't have a good weapon yet. Weapons carry harder than gear.
How to Get Gear
Gear comes from the Gears Gacha in the Lobby. Normal Spins or Lucky Spins.
Lucky Spins have better odds for Legendary and Mythic. Get Lucky Gear Spins from:

- Dungeon completion
- Robux
Current codes give 20 Lucky Gear Spins total. That's a decent shot at Time Stop. If you miss, you'll probably hit Coyote Pistol.
Gear Slots
You can only equip one gear at a time. Extra gear slots exist but aren't worth buying.
Weapon slots matter more. Buy an extra weapon slot (500 Gold) before considering gear slots.
Best Gear by Playstyle
Solo: Time Stop. The freeze saves you when there's no teammate to revive you.
Teams: Time Stop or Heal. Freeze helps everyone. Heal keeps the squad alive during long phases.
Speed clears: Coyote Pistol. Raw damage clears waves faster than utility.
Learning the game: Heal until you stop dying to obvious attacks. Then Time Stop.
