This game has consumed my life for 3 months. I've survived 500+ days, unlocked most classes, and I'm still finding new strategies. 99 Nights in the Forest perfectly captures that creepy forest atmosphere while keeping you on edge every single night.
Here's the thing. The Diamond economy is brutal. Classes cost anywhere from 25 to 500+ Diamonds, and earning them through gameplay alone takes forever. These codes give you a head start without grinding for weeks.
All Working Codes (January 2026)
| Code | Reward | Method |
|---|---|---|
| afterparty | 15 Diamonds | Normal codes menu |
| yay fishing | 2 Diamonds | Type in chat while fishing |
No codes have expired yet. The game only added a code system in September 2025, so the list is short.
Secret Fishing Code
The "yay fishing" code doesn't work in the normal menu. Here's how to use it:
- Start a solo or multiplayer lobby
- Upgrade to Level 2 campfire
- Find the Fishing Shack and grab an Old Rod
- Use the rod at any fishing hole
- Press "/" to open chat
- Type "yay fishing" and hit enter
Two Diamonds fall from the sky. Only works once per account, but it's a fun easter egg the devs hid.
How to Redeem Normal Codes
The codes menu is only in the lobby, not during gameplay.
- Click the Diamond icon in the bottom left (next to the green plus)
- Press the blue CODES button on the right side
- Paste your code exactly as shown
- Hit Submit
If it works, Diamonds get added instantly.
Best Classes to Buy First
With 17 free Diamonds from codes, here's what I'd prioritize:
Scavenger (25 Diamonds) - +2 sack space is huge for collecting resources. You're 8 Diamonds short, but one good run covers that.
Lumberjack (70 Diamonds) - My top pick for new players. Good Axe and +20% bonus log chance make base building way easier.
Explorer (80 Diamonds) - Speed boost after clearing fog, larger map view. Great for solo runs.
Skip the Hunter class. I wasted 200 Diamonds on it before realizing it's a trap pick.
Survival Tips
Night 1-10: Build beds for day multipliers. Find missing kids to increase your multiplier. Prioritize walls because the Deer will test your base early.
I died on Night 5 my first 8 attempts because I ignored base defenses. The Deer destroys undefended bases. Build walls and traps early.
Night 11-30: Upgrade your crafting bench. Build multiple beds to stack multipliers. Start hunting wolves for pelts.
Night 31-99: Focus on permanent upgrades. Prepare for major invasions. Enemies get significantly tougher.
Where New Codes Drop
The official Discord server posts codes first. Grandma's Favourite Games (the developer group) announces them there.
Fair warning: codes are rare. Only 2 have been released since September 2025. The devs seem to save them for major updates and events.
